Max damage lines?

How many hits can give in the normal attack? With a Chaplain can give for example Base Attack + Sacrament + Last Rites + Aspergillium + Set Casfrium + Arde Dagger + Add elemental damage Pendant = 7 hits but if have a limit the extra damage is added to the others hits?

doesnt enchant fire add another attack? im pretty sure that buff sucks though lol

Arde Dagger is just an elemental damage, not an extra hit.
Each elemental damage you have is applied once per HIT. Each hit is basically every number that comes out of a monster’s head.
Complete Cafrisun gives a passive effect that adds an Extra Hit of Earth damage on Auto Attacks. Fire Enchant from Pyromancer gives an Extra Hit, plus some Fire damage. Sacrament from Priest gives another Extra Hit, plus some Holy damage
Take the very popular Arde Dagger for example: 153 fire damage for every hit you do (that include skills, specially if they’re multi-hit, which scales off pretty well with elemental properties).

Now… Auto Attack + Cafrisun + Sacrament + Fire Enchant.
There you have 4 hits per Auto Attack. Arde Dagger only by itself will do 612 fire damage per Auto Attack (x4). Then you add all other elemental properties you might have.
If your question is: how many attacks modifiers are there in the game. Well, I’m only aware of those 3.
I sincerely don’t know if Chaplain has another Extra Hit buff, I think he may have. Just don’t mistake EXTRA DAMAGE with EXTRA HIT, they’re both different effects!

Enchant fire is good -because- it adds another hit. the -amount- of damage it does is trivial at best… but it provides another hook for everything that attaches to a hit…

for actual “extra hits” you want something that gives “additional damage” like cafrisun…
“Earth Property Additional Damage ^12”

whereas elemental and other types of damage that simply add on are described as “____ Property Attack ^ XX”, like Arde dagger…
“Fire Property Attack ^153”

the things that add “Additional Damage” that i’m aware of are…

Sacrament (extra hit + holy dmg)
Last Rites (extra hit + holy dmg; basically a clone of Sacrament)
Cafrisun set (earth property extra hit)
Enchant Fire (extra hit + fire dmg)

and then other things like Blessing, Arde Dagger’s elemental bonus, elemental/physical/etc damage bonus from hats/necklace/etc, as well as the elemental damage that most of these buffs provide themselves… all stack onto each of these hits.

Aspergillum is in a third category “kinda sorta”. it appears as if it is an extra hit on basic melee autoattack, but is actually a magical hit. for simplicity, it’s probably perfectly fine to consider it simply an additional hit, and i believe all the elementals/buffs/etc also stack onto it.

it’s through effectively manipulating extra hits and bonus damage stacks that melee-based DPS chaplains can deal so much damage per swing.

if you have a chaplain yourself, give it a try.
throw some unenhanced melee attacks at something of reasonably high level. probably nothing more than tickles.
then add your big damage buffs like blessing. clearly heavier hits, but still not so much.
then start adding on your extra-hit buffs, like sacrament, last rites, etc… suddenly the damage starts to literally multiply.
