Materials bought in market to be tradeable

With the upcoming new patch. “ToS will be great again” I often hear those kind of words. But what bums me out is the fact that some items in bought in market becomes untradeable. Me and my friends just recently played this game. We’re about 7 people including me. It’s so hard to help one another, It feels like we’re playing different worlds of our own. It’s so hard to help him/her with his mats/equips. I can buy said lacking material for my friend but I can’t trade it to him. Well that kinda sucks. New players and returning players are coming back to the game, excited to try this new patch. I dunno if old players are used to it or has a way/trick to somehow trade goodies. But to us newbies not knowing anything about talt yet when we started, not knowing about blessed shards, about all the items you use as currency, we have no knowledge about them yet. How can we compete with old players creating new character passing around equips/items in their team lodge.

To the players reading this: You can call me ignorant because I’m totally new to the game and I’m just expressing what I feel for the few weeks I’ve been playing. I know I’m not the only one having this much trouble in the game.

I know you want the players to buy more Token.
But just the fact that tokens give +1 number of instances alone can force you to buy tokens.
Don’t restrict potential newbies aka buyers to feel discouraged and quit halfway.

This game has good community. Everytime I ask question about the game from the people, they always answer. The players have been far too good for me. But we can’t make the game great by players alone. We need help from you.

It will destroy market economy, ppl with money will buy cheap materials and make them overpriced

tos will be great again <- lol, so far there is not a single mmorpg that made significant come back beside FF ARR.

btw, like misao say, it might cause some chaos in market, the old old old digele incident dominate by bots.

another way if u wan to help each others if u guys got token, use the market to transfer money (10%+ tax).

SWTOR, Path of Exile (wasn’t dead but took years to take off), TERA, even LOTRO has seen a population increases, ESO has been rocky but steadily got better, WOW has had population fluctuations for years, MapleStory has been all over the place, RIFT held strong for a long time too which is impressive given its continuous problems. The point is players want a good MMO. The good ones attract players because the market is so over saturated, that they tend to make it through despite major obstacles. Look to other examples like Project Gorgon that have been in development for years but retain and grow in population as they improve.

sadly I’m from SEA, so most of the game u mention I do heard off but I had never play em except TERA NA (I do enjoy it, since I’m playin lolicon tank).
and here I say significant is the old FF online is such a disaster but it pull off so well when they relaunch FF ARR, sucking more players than before.

will the great balance patch save the avg player from 2.8k to 4k+ or higher? I doubt so, at most I give it 3k avg, that’s if the patch hit us fast enuff.

It’s uncertain, the most we can do is analyse it and speculate the best we can. If this update does well, if IMC improves with their updates, their bug fixing, their communication, TOS has a real chance. This game has all the cards for a comeback, they just need to play the hand. This next update will show us a lot of what IMC is capable of. Larger team, Mr Kim back as project lead, more funding, more time for feedback and community suggestions, they have all the pieces to make this work. If this update is anything less than amazing I will be worried, not only about the timeline, but about IMC’s ability to perform.

As I suggested to GM loooong time ago: Website must have more info about the game system. Look at the kTOS page made Nexon, they have classes info, skills info, and even class build simulator while iTOS website is too simple: no classes/skills info, no specific guidelines about game system. My guild has some new players and myself sometimes I do quests with new players. They do not know anything about the things like OP said. I am almost willing to answer them all questions but sometimes I also feel exhausted because of keeping explaining basic things for many times.

Since IMC is holding event to recruit new players, I think it is essential to hold 1 more event for experienced players to write game guide besides the loading arts. We do have many great guidelines on over forum and it will be better if those guidelines are brought to iTOS homepage.

Changing trading policies is not simple and may need to be considered carefully before applying while posting guidelines is much easier.

I fully agree, I never thought of making it a contest. Even if we just had a wiki it would help a lot.

Here’s some of what the KTOS website has:

I agree. I keep asking questions everytime I run dungeons and pass along information on my friends. Even some of them aren’t located in forums.

People run to www.tosbase.com/ in which I followed for some time too, I check for tip and tricks in there, builds and stuff. But most of their equipment suggestions are outdated and new players still follow this guides.

It might destory market community so they should still put restrictions. But atleast not one time buy = untradable. Make it tradable for atleast 3 times. It would be sufficient. And try to remove token benefits in market, It discourages new players in engaging market. Especially that limited entry you can put in market
