Marketplace (Partial?) Item Wipe!? Why isn't this getting more attention?

Just means that we’re testing the game, thus playing knowing the game have a lot of bugs, we can’t complain about bugs if we are playing to find them. This post should be more like:
“IMC, I’ve found a bug with the market, here some screenshots and a description for your staff replicate and fix it until release.”

But noooo… Instead we have, I wunt my mony, imc sucs

I put the items up around 10:00pm EST/EDT I think. And, it keeps track of your sales so I would know if my items sold or not.

Well I’ve had my items up 1-2 days and now NOTHING is in my “sell” tab or on the market

I see.
Cosidering this is the first time I heard of this happening in EarlyAccess, I did have to wonder about it.

Chill guys, just check auction in other city:)

Well, cause it’s not officially a beta test period. It’s a head start on the actual full release.

And people have lost real dollar value due to this bug, so don’t be surprised if they’re not so calmly reporting a bug “so that it doesn’t happen again” (which it did)

I don’t know if you’re someone who watches the market, but if you looked this morning, a huge chunk of items poofed that were there prior. Thus, why I listed the thread as such since many items suddenly vanished. Also, other people had mentioned it too. I really was expecting to find a thread already made, but I didn’t, so I guess mine is the first.

Hm… are you playing on Klaipeda by any chance?
It has been having plenty of issues lately, it’s not an excuse but it may provide an explanation.

been on iCBT2, too. Can confirm.
They’ll be back don’t worry.

unless it’s a new bug.

Yup, I play on Klaipeda. o/

we aren’t “testing” it though. this is the “release” version.

because of the terminology used, endless hordes of people are unable to distinguish between “you get a 1 month headstart” vs “Steam’s Early Access Program”… which is basically beta (or worse) games.

we didn’t buy an “Early Access” game.
we bought a DLC package, which includes access to the servers 1 month early*.

*by “you get on 1 month early” what they really mean is “we’ve delayed access for everyone who didn’t pay”, but saying it that way isn’t nearly as PR-friendly.

You got the EA to OBT… Do you know what founder is? Where did you see a game jump from CBT to release without OBT?

from CBT to Release? right here, this game. there was no OBT here.

the OBT was scrapped. it never happened.

“Early Access” does not mean beta. it means “delayed access for people that didn’t pay.”

Basically, IMC used a lot of terms that sound great, but are misleading.
“Founders server” doesn’t mean special servers - these are the same servers everyone will be using after the early access period.
“Early Access” doesn’t mean we get the game before release - it means anyone that didn’t pay has to wait longer to get it.

“Steam Early Access” games have a very obvious blue box stating them as such at the top of the store page. this does not, and has not ever had that.

additionally, “Open Beta” is a thing that’s only come about somewhat recently, with all these MMO’s. it’s taking advantage of free resources (players) will to test games that are likely to go through a lot of changes before the actual release.

this game has already hit “release”, so there won’t be many significant mechanics changes, if any. (not counting whatever additional content gets added later.)
there will be system changes, like bug fixes and stability patches and so on… but the way the game is now is how it’s going to stay, pretty much.

Well. I lost 100k on market but I also got stopped from login for several hours, so I swear when I logged in the fight for that 100k didnt seem important =/

Seriously this “founder launch” game client feels exactly like the CBT client version… Only addition is the “Initial launch patch” they applied for classes buff/nerfs which are not even priority…

Who the hell release a game with similar bugs/defects in a beta 3 months ago and start fixing stuff after launch.

I got my money back btw… saw it on fedimian’s market

It happened again during the lask week iirc…

These so called CB2 testers have no idea what they are talking about. There is a reason CB2 was a ghost town half way through. This is how it actually went.

People who actually played can’t deny that every single time some major bug/dumb sht happened, it took IMC long to try to even address the situation and then their so called attempts to fix it just didn’t work or broke something else instead.

This was what I said in a thread in November in 1 out of a ton of complaint threads out there.

If the market wasn’t down completely, it was taking items. It didn’t fix itself and magically work. IMC after failing continually by half assing it, eventually managed to make the items come back after a long enough time to completely fk over the prices.

And if you are wondering what the repair/npc prices are about, IMC thought it was a good idea to mimic kToS randomly without notice and lower the npc selling prices of everything. Well that’s what they said, but most likely they just didn’t even notice as they just patched using kToS patches. They didn’t bother to fix it right away as well. They took their sweet time.

This led to a quiet yet infamous event as well that had people make millions. People will market items and keep undercutting until near the NPC selling point as there is no point in going lower unless you want to spite people. Since the NPC prices dipped, so did the auction prices as people undercut others even lower now. When the npc prices randomly finally returned, people were hording around the market and buying everything until they were walking slowly and selling them to the NPC for profit. They rinse repeated until there was nothing left to profit from. Of course IMC didn’t mind. Hell I remember some guy made billions off some random bug and supposedly they didn’t mind him keeping it.

There is just so much sht that has happened that gets buried by these white knights and nostalgic fools that don’t want to hear the truth and try to generate hype so they can live their fantasy lives, that newer people don’t see the numerous complaints of the past that completely ruins IMCs reputation. CB2 was a fkn ghost town half way through. Everyone quit. Even the moderators that didn’t even moderate the xenophobic hate speeches happening 24/7 disappeared half way through.

tl;dr IMC only cares enough to make money off of you.

Edit: Yea I didn’t fall for the early access trap. Who would have guessed?

who care about market when you can’t even log in lol
tl:dr: Every Monday is a weekend in IMC.
Wait for tomorrow.
