Market - Remove Lower limit ASAP but Retain Upper Limit (Compromise solution)

Botters and goldsellers are destroying the economy by pricing many ordinary etc items way above their typical rates. Just look at the ABSURD prices below.

Your attempt to stop goldsellers by imposing a market limit to stop market manipulation has ironically allowed them to manipulate the price of items in THEIR favour to make etc expensive and facilitate easy transfer of silver to their buyers. Also brought up by other users here and here.

Please at the very least REMOVE the lower limit of items ASAP. Many people like alchemists are suffering and you have rubbish like peaches and strawberries for 30k each. The higher limit can still be retained.

I emphasis the immediacy of this because the longer you let it be, the more ruinous the economy becomes as a result of market manipulation.

Anyone know how people are placing items on market lower than lowest possible price?

Lower limit should be NPC price. Period.

As it is, selling for the maximum price is only done for RMT. Or well, buying for that price is. Listing may just be to show off what you have and ask for offers, or something.

But the minimum price doesn’t help anyone. If it’s too high, nobody will buy it. And thus, the average price will not decrease. But it increases when the maximum price is sold. Which makes it even harder to sell, making it further rise higher and higher as RMT is more and more prevalent until no legitimate players can use the market anymore.

Yeah, this needs to be taken care of. Some materials even are impossible to sell, because every price is the same and pretty high.

Like hanaming petals, which I usually sold low, after getting black hair at the beginning, which was a nice starting income for a new character.

Though, with the retrieval wait for silver, it’s kinda pointless now, but I’d still like to sell some materials and they can’t be sold right now.

This is even a problem outside of the goldsellers. For example a recipe or piece of equipment may be in high demand because a lot of players are around that level, but then later on need to be dropped when not that many people want it anymore because most are way past this.

Market prices fluctuate depending on supply and demand but these locking prices are destroying that.

Well, that outcome should have been expected. Artificial automated limits on pricing is like an invitation to manipulate market.

As someone who spends a lot of time trying to sell things in MMO trading houses, you are my natural enemy!! But my best friend when I’m buying stuff. :stuck_out_tongue:

It is so ridicolous. Market is manipulated to the max (and not in a good way)

Equipment is priced quite fair atm.
But later? High min prices no one wants to pay for.
A Limit for top prices is okay. But min prices should be the resell (npc price) value.
Because an equipment with only 1 Potential left is way less worth than one with full.
And if I just want to get rid of one, But sell it to a npc is Kind of waste… so I sell it cheap and Maybe make a “newbie” happy.

But all those etc drops. Who the hell buys Digele for 60 thousand!! A piece?!

All propaganda and lies! remember we have no bots or gold sellers, thats why we have trade restrictions. So all bots and gold sellers are a figment of your imagination.

It has such a serious impact too, because some people actually -need- the mats like crafter classes. Nothing is safe from the gold sellers grasp!

I actually spend a lot of time selling things on the AH but because of the time restrictions, selling values limitations, quantity of items that you can sell at the same time and Gold Sellers playing with the prices as they desire. I can’t do much :cry:
