It is so odd that they cannot completely fix this problem. This is taking forever for them to resolve
Quit defending their incompetence. I have every right to complain about this, since I actually have the development experience to speak on the matter. Thereâs no excuse for this from a professional game company.
They didnât completely fix the issue, and your âGosh! You should praise them for fixing the problem!â attitude makes me want to wretch. The problem never should have happened in the first place, and the remedy was very easy the moment the issue was discovered: roll back the change until the new feature could be properly implemented. Why should I pat someone on the back for fixing their â â â â -up? That should be a given.
In a computer-logic sense, it should be easy to correct.
Basically youâd just look at a mapâs completion and if itâs at 100%, youâd set the alpha channel to turn off.
Is this revolving issue happening in kToS or even kTest?..Wouldnât a file compare help?
My dear, sweet, naive Anarth.
That would be too easy.
ASSUMING that the coding is clean and tidyâŚit should be 8)
Isnât that an assumption as well?
Anyway, this problem has been around for quite some time and itâs intermitent as it doesnât happen to all characters of mine. I have been trying to find a pattern but I havenât come to any conclusion yet⌠welp.
It is, and to be honest, I would hold a professional company to higher standards than some of the people Iâve taken over for. I have seen some nightmares in my scripting and source days. Still, itâs getting hard for me to shake the feeling that people just like that are behind the wheel at IMC when I see some of the inexcusable bugs that come down the pipe.

âIf they put more time and effort into fixing things instead of trying to cover them up maybe the game would be doing better.â
Feels like I have said this before and was one of my most liked posts but is gone. In fact searching the word âfixâ in my history reveals a lot of closed threads or deleted ones.
Wonder why?
