#MakeGrindGreatAgain

Thats all open for discusion and i want all the feedback you guys have to give, lets make IMC hear us!

Respawn as it is now

  • Fixed (set) respawn spots
  • Monsters are leashed to a spot
  • Really slow respawn rates
  • No instant Respawn

Because of the way the monster respawn now, only one party can grind in a map at a time. Thats ridiculous, its like saying they just want 5-20 people in a certain lvl range, also imposible if your player base isnt reaaaaaaly low.

My proposition based on other forum topics

  1. Random Respawn places
  2. Monsters are able to wander
  3. Higher spawn rate
  4. Some instant respawns
  5. Better monster exp
  6. End the restriction on monsters exp

Why i think so:

1 and 2-The respawn place should be random and without leashes (there could be some restrictions so they dont spawn or wander near NPCs, thats all simple coding) so the maps wouldnt have a fixed number of good grind spots and would feel more alive. This way people would have to wander the map, but would not have the need to create a monopoly over it or to do it like a “run”.
Who didnt like to find a spot overflowing with monsters you had to think twice before atacking it and when you did it was hard and rewarding, or finding a monster stronger than you alone and tought “i could kill him if hes alone”. Those were all random encounters that are only possible if monsters dont have fixed respawn spots and are able to wander.

3 and 4- I think everyone agree that the spawn rate now is just ridiculous for some maps. I think that the monsters could have a set instant respawn rate and a timed one, this way there would always be X of that monster in the map at any given time. Ex: A map have 50 of said monster and 30 of them have instant respawns, so if the map has less than 30 of this monster they will start to instant respawn untill it has 30 again and the other 20 would have their timing working as normal. This there would be a % of said monster up at all times.
OR
You could raise the respawn rate and respawn numbers and give some monsters a instant respawn, so monsters that have timed ones would be cosidered more rare. This would also work, as some monsters would always be up and wouldnt take to long for the other ones to respawn.

5 and 6- This one is simple, grinding isnt rewarding at all at this game, better respawns will help, but the fact that i have to kill 1.000 + monsters at level 120 (at 1/5 of the game, max is 600) and if i kill monsters stronger or weaker than me im penalized is plain dumb.
I didnt mean to compare but must MMOs have a lvl cap of 99 or 60 lvls, if we compare with the 280 levels we have now every one level on ToS is worth 1/3 (on the 99 metrics) and 1/5 (on the 60 metrics), its like saying that at lvl 40 (same as 120 on tos) on a 99lvls game it would take me 3k monsters (aprox 3h and only at party, soloing its imposible) just to pass a single lvl, and thats just the very begining of mid game. The exp is so bad we even have a thing called “grind walls” in this game, because 1- there are no places to grind 2- grind is unrewarding at best.
This game talks about diversity all the time, but if i want to create a character to AoE one hit lower lvl mobs (15-20 lvls behind) im penalized, if i make a bruiser to try and 1x1 way higher mobs im penalized, if i want to focus on selling itens and have to kill some lower mobs im penalized (they should contribute with their tiny exp, even if i only get 2% in a day of item farm) and it goes on and on… You are stuck in a single path, you have to kill the same things at the same levels, this level up method is designed to be a big, long and boring corridor.

Last considerations
Nothing that i said here is news in any way, those are all level up choices and methods used at a lot of MMORPGs, thats exactly why it is so hard to me to understand why IMC choose the methods they are using right now.

Don’t forget this just matters for humans. All IMC cares for are bots. The grind is fine for bots.
More stronger monsters and random spots would just make their life harder.

Im starting to belive this more and more, it seems like the comunnity have already give up on beliving IMC would hear us. I see a lot of people posting in complaints posts, but posts with ideas are usually left behind.

IMC do something, say something, it seems people dont even belive this game can improve anymore.

I keep leaving mean comments about the spawn rate on their Facebook page hoping it’ll get noticed and I’ll get banned but even that ■■■■ isn’t happening. They are completely ignoring this HUGE fking problem. I really hate imc, but ToS is hard to leave. Makes me wanna go to Korea and sheit on their office desks. Seeing as they do nothing but push out shiet, I doubt they’d mind the smell.

You know, I see tons and tons of these highly thoughtful posts every time I browse the forums, but nobody ever uses the staff tags to get their attention with. I’m gonna be leaving this here so that administration hopefully sees this and has some sort of input.

I’m assuming that they usually skim through a ton of these high quality forum posts due to them not having enough time to allocate to the customer service side itself, but it would be really nice if they could acknowledge our existence from time to time…

Agree. They are the biggest population, so they should have more advantages to balance the game economy and make it more enjoyable; also, we already have a bunch of loading screens (and we receive a new one every 2 weeks), so that’s more than enough.

Today with the reduced channels which means even more reduced monsters I lost every believe I ever had.

oh just a tip. up till this point they will never listen or even read our worries and problems. your suggestion will probably be unheard of. #sad2k16
