Make Golden Anvil 100% up to +10

Was reading a discussion about how Golden Anvil sucks and enhancement system is ■■■■.

Well, my suggestion is simple: since you can’t reasonably go beyond (ever) +11 with a golden anvil, we should make it so at least golden anvil’s enhancement chance is 100% up to +10, keeping all its other atributes (including going back to +10 if you attempt anything above it)

That’ll make +11 super easy. Might as well ask for Golden Anvil 1 hit will make it from +0 to +11.

As I said in the other thread, just remove the -1 penalty and make fail rate increase with enhancement, so you’d get a weak Diamond Anvil that would work on 0 pot item and would consume silver.

Still don’t see what the problem is. Anviling is really weak so it’s not like it matters that much. +6-+16 barely matters since transcendence . The only reason people care about anvils is because they see like one random guy with +29.

The problem is what you see as the solution. It’s not supposed to be “okay” just because it’s weak.
If it’s weak AND wrong, then there’s an issue somewhere, it has to be changed to be both useful and fair.

It’s not supposed to be “okay” just because it’s weak.

Why not?

The game is already p2w as ■■■■, anviling to get like +1000 attack over someone else will barely make a difference. They’re already solving this by moving away from anviling more and more. It’s a non issue, and non issues need non solutions.

Better idea:

  1. Remove gold/silver/diamond anvils from the game.

  2. Cap upgrades at 20 but make the damage scale very high between 16 and 20–no more plateaus every 5 upgrades.

  3. Make the success chance scale with silver input up to 100%, but make the scaling very high, ie 19 -> 20 is 200m or something.

  4. Convert any currently existing higher than +20 weapons to +20 and return silver spent.

  5. Cap damage from upgrade level in PVP applications at +11–but leave armor alone.

These aren’t solutions but I get your point, indeed it’s not a drama if you don’t get at least +11 anymore, what I’m saying is that you don’t fix a problem by ignoring it like they do or some of use decide to do.

Every game has an enhancement system (as far as I know), if ToS has one, either it’s good, or it goes completely.
It’s the only thing that didn’t change at all from iCBT days, because IMC knows people buy the things they built around it.
