Current version: 15 hits, slowly ticking on enemies that walk into the ball. You can whap it with a staff, or let your party push it all over the place and out of the way -annoyingly-. It has an attribute that increases its CD to add a tiny burn DoT to contacted enemies.
Test version: 1 huge hit from a larger fireball, hits enemies in a large radius around it.
The problem with both of these is the need to create the fireball and then place it where you want it. Where the former version was too long lasting, the new version seems too quick in its design.
Proposed version: Summon a fireball at the target location. It lasts for 4 seconds and deals 2x hits per second to enemies that contact it. After 4 seconds it detonates as per the Test version into an AoE. It is no longer whappable so it stays where you summon it.
- Hits the middle ground between current version and test version in regards to the number of hits.
- Solves the issue of having to lay down fireballs and whap them to where you want to put them.
- Adds more interesting mechanics to the fireball then both versions
- Finally puts some damned range on fireball, which has really been what its always needed in the first place.
