Actually I’m playing a thaumaturge and is so annoying to buff allies, I feel like 4 minutes is not enough and the game needs any mechanic for improve it in some way, maybe more duration or more range? or even they affect all allies (on your group) on map, or they were permanent but take sp per second.
What do you think?
Or take silver per second?
if you think 5 minute buffs are annoying, then try to use 1 min buffs or less, especially ones that require your target to stay perfectly still in front of you (Transmit Prana).
As for thauma’s swells - if person/party dont come to you for re-buffs, then they probably dont want/need them. Or dont pay attention to their own buff timers. In any case it is their fault for not getting re-buffed.

Back in my days, buffs lasted for a minute or less

jokes aside, 5 mins is a reasonable amount of time. Unless you want buffs to last as long as pardoner buffs, then get friggin pardoner buffs, don’t be lazy in buffing.
I visited this post since I thought you had a neat idea of having buff duration scale with SPR and maybe have other stat like int affect buff magnitude, I was wrong. Anyway, Im fine with the buff duration right now and it would be easier once they removed the animation for other buffs.
Buffs from Thaumaturge were so short before the changes, and it was so weak. Thaumaturge are really fine, but SPR increasing duration of buffs is a good idea, it would force some classes to invest in SPR or take gear with SPR. But it’s hard to balance because SPR on magic classes is already powerful, it would be a nerf for Archers and Swordmen, unless they don’t change the base duration.
