Quit iRO when my friend left the server due to rl reason.
It’s super p2w, unbalanced in classes, bots and RMT everywhere
but all the problem aside…somehow i found it more fun when playing with friends than in iTOS

And that’s a big plus for TOS. Finally an online game that isn’t Pay 2 Win. Paying should be mainly for QoL-improvements and skins. So far, that’s exactly what IMC has done.
I wouldn’t say tos is not p2w…
it’s just now yet p2w and not that obvious yet
that +3 movement speed and +1 buff limit
As long as the item can be bought with ingame silver it’s automatically not P2W. It’s just “Pay to grind less”.
Token user here. I don’t see that much different with +3 move speed and +1 buff limit. My Sacrament and Aspersio are often wiped by “helpful” Cleric buffs. And movement speed is meh, well at least I dont have to spend on a Wind Runner
not going to make another p2w argument thread there
my point is: i can’t be optimistic about tos not being p2w in the future since they already included stat bonus in premium features
(it’s not p2w yet since it’s purchasable ingame, but who knows in the future what new things will come)
these things aside, in my opinion, tos isn’t much more enjoyable than ro, which is a sad true for me
+3 Movement speed is disabled in Korea’s PvP scene. Depending on the class/party itself, that +1 buff will still let you get overwritten. And any class that gets to Rank 5 can buy an extra buff slot anyway, but I’m not sure if that too is removed in PvP.
At most, it’s vantage points which could be solved by having a Chrono and Daino scrolls. It’s an advantage, but the closest thing to P2W right now are Enchant scrolls and they’re more of a Gacha system.
Main reason I had that beautiful man eye roll is that most people are hyping up PvP in this game…to get utterly bored or complain about the optimization. I’m giving the game time, but I’ve got stuff to do and people to manage.
Iirc they were white? (I didn’t look very hard) if so they got em right. Fits Trumps slogan. Make America White Again! Should come with your own Trailer and inbred sister though too!
This right here for me. As I mentioned in another thread, lack of social interaction has made it rather boring for me. I’ve met some really nice folks, and a couple here on the forums, but there’s nothing to do but grind/quest. No where to mess around where people gather just to talk, be silly, etc. I think of South Pront mostly when I say this, but most games have a common area.
On RO there was a few diff daily dungeons you didn’t have to be maxed out for that gave decent to the best equipment as well. They had unique storylines. Dungeons in ToS are pretty much the same; mechanics just divided up by physical damage vs magical damage, the latter kicks your ass more.
Then you had WoE which pretty much everyone tried to get in on, be it in big or large guilds. In small guilds it was always fun to sit around on RC and listen to some loveable idiot sing bard style songs about our tiny guild about to be destroyed by some 50+ members of another guild. This again can lead back to not much social interaction. I’m rather surprised someone hasn’t dedicated a thread to it yet (edit: as in general social interaction) that’s constructive. Of course there isn’t any constructive, large scale PvP events either, being the main point of this paragraph.
I rarely say this but… RO leveling was just easier to me, lol. Smack monsters, get in a party, grind the hell out of somewhere alone or with a few people. I love quests, but the ones in ToS I guess are just translated badly? And are nearly identical. It’s really boring the second time around on a fresh char, worse the third, on the fourth you start to wonder if maybe you could be that person who attempts to grind on really bad spawn rates…
I rarely complain, but I’ve just gotten bored. ToS is not RO, no, but I’d like to see it be as successful as RO was/is. They need to get their ■■■■ together. On the bright side, my big poofy TP hair will be mine soon.
Don’t complain about TP Stuffs. This topic pretty much sums it up. Mediocre patches, and they even patch bugs into the game. Chars stuck on cutscene, what is this madness !? You didnt even give us something new!
Woot? You have fun questing together?? - Hold right there! - We patch this out!
You are a cleric? Playin’ for 24/6 and try to log-in for hours even when it is maintainance day? Your steam account was only created a week ago and has no other games but you have 150+ hours of ToS playtime? Your team name is vrcvs and you are very talk-active in the cities? - You are welcome here! You seem like very active player! What? You have more bot reports on you than friends in a friendlist? Oh wait, the friend list might be broken. We are investigating it.
And dont forget:
Please note that other issues and bugs are also being patched in even if they are not mentioned above.
no one is excited for the new bug of the week?
