Magic semi dps cleric C K B T

So I know cleric isn’t the greatest in damage so I am just going for a off build and need some input.

I wanted to make a taoist build and I generally I have a idea of what path I want but need some clarification and guidance.

My base is as usual.
C1 -> K1 -> K2 ->K3 -> ?->? -> ? -> T1

A lot of people tell me C2 is almost mandatory for support and heal, which I do have to incline to agree 5 heal tile is border line annoying to micro manage. I am in favor of using C2 as well.

Bokor is a class I wanted to try in this taoist build. However going only B1 means that effigiy damage is pretty sub par? The one reason why I want Bokor is for that filler damage skill. I feel so useless when zai is down and I just wander around and cure is pretty strong but the range is pretty atrocious.

I wanted to try either the go down C2 -> B1 -> B2 or just B3 it all the way.

Druid I was initially thinking this class however the blatant no anti air skills is really painful.

My main question with bokor is if I skip out on PD how bad would it be? The reason I want to “skip” is I know PD is very core in a lot of support builds and it is very popular so I was thinking “why take PD when someone else has it” and the chances of getting a PD cleric is high from my gauge at higher level dungeons.

Main Route

C1->K1->K2->K3->C2->B1->B2-> T1
C1->K1->K2->K3->B1->B2->B3-> T1

My knowledge of Cleric is about as far as what I can see in dungeon lol . …

Why not Sadhu C2? Possession is a good skill, have stun effect and massive damage, Krivis C3 for DPS is useless, i had it once, Zaibas hit max 2 targets at time and unless you are using it on ice type enemies it is a crap damage dealer skill.

Druid indeed is lacking of anti-air skills, but still hit hard on ground targets and can keep you with Possession ready for flying enemies and if any of them still alive you can complete with Zaibas to finish them off.

Unfortunately Cleric lack in lots of offensive skills for flying enemies, i stated this on another thread about druid, they should at least make Carnivore hit flying enemies if it is cast on tall grass.

People is going for Krivis C3 for Lv 15 Zaibas, but until you get there you will face hell unless you have a good DPS friend to help you, specially after 190 where you will face lots of high HP pool mob.

Plan well on this class, you don’t have many choices for DPS, Bokor’s Effigy only hit 3 target max as far as i recall (i had it Lv 5 or 7 i don’t recall now) and the SP consumption is heavy, not to count that the animation keep you stuck for half second in place, you can think it is nothing to worry about, but in PvP or PvE is a problem, specially against some fast monsters like Terra Imps in Cranto Coast or Goblin Charges in Downtown.

As for Cleric, i would recommend go C2 right after C1 then take Krivis, until you hit R3 the mob is weak and you can even kill them with basic attacks, as long as you are using mace.

Cleric2 is a must, you won’t be able to keep parties alive without it if you’re the only healer. Cure + Heal are pretty solid dmg as well on a int build.

Cleric2/Krivis3/Druid2/Taoist is one of the top recommendations, as stone henge will double your magic attack when a druid 3 is in the party. (And is ensured a solid r9 option for solo.)

Second best would be grabbing Plague Doctor for r7, as it can easily do a considerable amount of dmg. Not ideal for boss dmg though as enemies can only have 1 copy of a condition at a time. (aka 2 pd’s = skills being ignored) Then grab pardoner/oracle/priest/druid for r6.

Bokor isn’t worth it after rank5, though it’s damage is ok ish. But since it requires constant use, a ton of sp while it offers little support compared to other r6-7 options make it a poor selection.

Besides Bokor is ideal with plague doctor’s pandemic to hit all enemies nearby, without that you only hit 1-4 or so closely clustered enemies.

I have almost the same doubts as you. I wanted to try the same build but with B1 PD1. Some people say that hex + effigy is enought at lvl 5 and amazing with PD. And some don’t. I have no idea what to do and also don’t wanna try and reroll if it isnt that good. hahah

@dehrox123
I think PD are literally every where that having just boko might not be so bad in certain team compositions.

@Wurmheart
Yea the fear I have is being the 2nd PD and it basically invalidates the reason to get PD for this kind of off build. Where I might go B2 instead of B1 PD1 because of this. I mean if someone is already going to spread the stuff I might as well take more damage.

I think the fear of having a huge sp drain isn’t really a CON to me. I don’t understand it being much of a con. I haven’t met a class that can drain sp beyond the recover rate of a lv10 condensed potion and I have played a Sorc c2.

But I guess D2 might be more versatile with rank 8 :/.

It dependes of how much is the sp drain. I have a fletcher and he is thirsty as hell.

it hits 6 targets at level 5 hexing. and can hit unlimited amount of monsters with curses and pandemic.

and possession is a terrible skill, 2 circles for a skill that falls off at rank 8 and you only get that skill when i coulkd go c2 druid instead for 100 times more dmg.

I have a fletch but I never got to finishing him off but yes he does drain sp, but with rotations and pots its do-able. I just don’t feel like draining sp should be a down side to a class. If I had a attack that did 2-3x my auto attack but consumed sp I would rather do that then auto attack.

It’s like spear throw with hop it does way more damage then your auto attack with a specific lv170 spear which doubles the damage of the spear throw skill. It is a 0s cd skill and yes it consumes sp like hell when I use it but it does decrease the run time of the dungeons rather then me using auto attack.

Which is probably why krivis is slow killing me iol.

if you want best cleric non situation dps
cleric2>bokor3>pardoner>PD2

krivis3>tao does more dps but its situational and has high downtime

I think PD is also situational. Situation where you are the only PD or the higher level PD to do your damage.

But yes I do agree K3 T1 is super "lay it down’ and then wait 30 seconds.

yeahm but even if theere is another PD you still have level 15 effigy and damballa which can deal serious dmg

If you didn’t put any point in INT, or not enough, this skill is a total crap. Now if you maxed INT and the attribute % this skill is one of the best skills from Cleric tree, and it is totally meta with Taoist, ChronoCryo and Linkers. Possession is good againt Dark Property enemies, and that’s all.
