I’m still unsure how good it is compared to other MATK boosting properties. Say I have a hair accessory with +100 magic amplification, would it be better than one with +100 MATK or +100 holy property damage? Is there an explanation about how it works anywhere?
It depends.
MATK gets added directly to your character’s magic attack. If you have 1000 MATK and your Hair Accessory gives 100 MATK, you’ll have 1100 MATK in total.
MAMP works similar to the physical MINATK/MAXATK variance, having 1000 MATK and 100 MAMP means that your magic skills will scale off a random number between 1001 and 1100.
Property Damage is a flat value that is added at the very end of the damage formula, if you deal for example 10000 damage and you have 100 Holy property attack, you’ll deal 10100 instead. However, if you use a skill that does for example 10 hits of 500, it will do 10 hits for 600 instead (5000 -> 6000 as final damage) thanks to the property damage.
As I understand Magic Amplification gives a Range to your Matk.
Matk gives you more power for your spells.
100 HProp DMG would give you 100 Extra dmg to all attacks
Thanks for your replies. So MAMP is the same as maximum attack for magic users, which means that 90 MAMP is roughly equivalent to 45 MATK – or attaching a 3* red gem to your weapon. Good to know…
