Love for Tree of Savior

I loved this game since the moment I set eyes on it about two years back. Unfortunately due to working all the time i have only managed to make it to lvl 35 so far. But I’m enjoying every second of it.

I’m at work now and just wanted to hear about everyone’s positive thoughts what are you enjoying about the game so far ? What class and build did you go with?

Has this become your favorite game?

I like the game, fix the most glaring flaws such as bots, server stability and class related problems and maybe I will come to love it.

I’m liking it so far, having to play a semi-grind based game after all those fully quest based mmos.

The joy of getting what you want after getting massive amount of talts, which I have not achieved yet, but will(looking at you petamion recipe), finding a shiny mob upon entering a portal, and lastly, getting to enjoy my fencer playstyle.

and I think IMC is doing an okay job listening to “some” of the feedback and requests from players. we got 3 month EA down to 1, we got regional servers we’ve been asking for, changes to allow trading on non token users. I appreciate every bit of that.

yes they got problems, such as servers and the game itself lacking optimizations, which I hope they can fix. I think they’re working on it slowly, so that’s fine.

ohh sorry if these answers are not going along with your questions directly, I just feel sad sometimes that the rage of some players are directed to the forum staff when they can only rely on the devs themselves while taking the blame.

Favorite game, not -yet-, but almost. My favorite game is still dota 2.

Went with wiz2 > link2 > chrono > RC > chrono. Can’t wait to sit around and have people yell at me for not taking chrono3 HAHA (yoo rank 8)

I uhh enjoy the aesthetics of course, the combat, and ranking up. Been leveling a barbo lately for templar, blazing through maps with friends is neat even though I always miss quests whoops

No this is great feel free to share everything on your mind. What do you enjoy about your Fencer build

Mainly the satisfaction of bursting out massive numbers of pierce attacks, very satisfying feel if you ask me. And of course, the elegance.

I think this game suffers from having a 200 level tutorial. I wish they would compress more quests down into the first 100 levels so you can breeze through all that ■■■■ and then thin out the quests above 100 and increase the grind and rewards from 100-200. Encourage people to party up earlier on. Right now the game feels like a singleplayer journey through a ghost town before you get past the 200 level tutorial and then have to party up to progress efficiently.

Basically they ■■■■■■ up by being too ambitious with the level cap at the start and wanting a whole 200 levels to be spent running through quest chains and never really grinding (unless you feel the need to grind demons or bees for a few days just so you can get to 186 without doing adventure journal requirements, doesn’t really seem worth it to me though). And now they can’t fix it because that would make it unfair for everyone who’s just starting out even though they’d probably have a much more fun experience than those of us who played the game solo for so long.

A lot of people get the impression this is just another themepark jokester MMO that discourages you from partying and has nothing challenging to offer, and they’re completely correct for the majority of players who will probably not even make it past the ‘tutorial’. I know it’s driven a lot of my friends away, only the ones who made it above 200 really enjoy the game now.

Edit: Okay this maybe didn’t get my overall point across very succinctly; I think the game is really fun when you’re grinding in a party or doing high level dungeons or even world bosses when there aren’t 50 players around and the game just becomes unplayable, but it takes way too long and holds your hand way too much before it lets you actually play the game. So, I really like the game, the grinding aspects and party dynamics of all the different possible classes working together in a lot of interesting ways, but the game gets in its own way so much you really have to wade through a lot to see it shine.

The game is not bad on it’s own. Actually, I think it’s a great game, with a large room to be even better.

Variety of classes, beautiful art, nice combat style, guild wars, mechanical boss battles, etc.

My opinion however is that each of those points has a small flaw that prevents us from enjoying them to their fullest. For an example, we have so many theoric builds we can’t make because of the way classes scale to late game. The combat is nice for a heavy grinding game, yet I see myself spamming quests and running around all the time because we have pretty low spawn rates + big difference in exp given by grinding and questing.

The most fun moment for me is always grinding at demon prison, because it’s the first time I see people grinding in parties all around, socializing, monsters exploding everywhere, etc… :frowning:

I was playing a DoT archer, now I’m making a fencer.

only lvl 35? it only takes like 3 hours to get to lvl 40-60
anyway my main’s build is
Cleric2>bokor>sadhu2>druid>Kabbalist

Loving the game. Sinked so much time rerolling from 200 to now 180. The ragnarok grind has made me even think that levelling in this game is easy. My goal toward that cape is going strong.
