Losing my Hype Factor For The Game

Basically, what the OP mostly rant about was the release date and wanted to play the game but don’t have much time due to life. Really? First of all, it’s not like you’re the one with the busy arse around here so stop making yourself special, princess.

There are plenty of ways to get the news, gaming news site such as Steparu, Fansite, or even ToS facebook page. It’s not that hard, it’s just you making things harder. They will announce the date whenever the game is ready.

Feels like the thread is just bawling to release the game now.

work your ass off till you retire and can spend all day lounging around, maxize your gaming potential lol. the wait wont be there since your off getting $

otherwise deal with it :sunglasses:

Do you want to play a bugged game with no content above level 250?
With unfixed exploits floating around?
With mechanics and classes not finished?

Probably an exploiter. I liked it because i laughed so hard xD…

MMO Games (especially RPG) are not for peoples with LIFE. Peoples that have LIFE trying to study, work and rarely have time for a short session of casual game.
SO if you wanna find time for ToS, you should leave your job and broke up with women

Much flame on you mister OP. I understand about venting but do it with people who care… yanno.

Preach. I don’t understand why people are so quick to get other people disinterested and push them away from the game.

You don’t have to baby users who voice a complaint with pleas to stick around, or reasons why the game is worth waiting for, but comments like “just leave” or “don’t play” are completely unwarranted too. That’s not helpful commentary, nor is it friendly or encouraging; it’s juvenile.

If you don’t want to help someone, don’t comment on the thread. :0 You aren’t doing the ToS community any favors by being a jerk.

@Hilsun I agree with people being harsh with the matter but I understand to a point on how they annoyed by another thread that complains about “I want the game or release date now!”. Granted, people shouldn’t be shunning away players just because they express their interest for the game and want to play it so badly like ain’t we so suppose to be better of a community? That being said again I do get it thou why people leash out at him as this is the first time someone posted something kinda like this.

@Joshua_Xiong66 Gotta understand when you’re not the only one in the boat who is feeling the same way on this game. But that is all the purpose of a community to endure and push through along with this game. Been some doubts have been said here and there but nonetheless everyone will assume they lose hype but I feel like its the opposite when you wait for a game like take Blade and Soul for example. That game has been mention about for quite some time and people tend to have lost hype or any will to even try the game once it comes out but right when it hit the NA scene. Everyone just jump right on it and filled up pretty much every server and Mushin still is filled up now. I feel you will be just fine just be patience along with us bud.

you are the cancer of society

He’s more like antibody. Those who create whiny topics are real cancer.

I respect your opinion and it is my opinion that you do not understand the amount of work that goes into tracking bugs, documenting them, fixing them and still implement content which creates all new bugs that need to be tracked, documented and fixed.

So how your rant comes across as to me is that you want the game at the cost of everyone having to deal with the same headaches that were in CBT(Like parties and the auction house going down every couple of minutes)instead of being patient and hopefully getting a more polished product. That seems selfish. Not only that, but giving a concrete date and then having to push it back because of additional problems would make IMC look bad and just give you something else to complain about.

I could be wrong and after all this waiting we could end up facing the same problems as before, but IMC deserves the benefit of the doubt and if your biggest gripe is that “life” doesn’t allow you much time to play then it shouldn’t really matter when the game comes out.

I agree with you that it’s better to delay a game to polish it and fix any bugs within it but ToS has already been released in Korea with good content especially after the “Refresh” patch last month. Most of the problems with CBT have been patched and the remaining bugs/glitches are mainly new ones that can be fixed on the go.

I believe the majority of the grieve you can see on forums the last couple days comes from their terrible PR and the last announcement which just killed the hype about the game. They could have just made an announcement about the changes on the website and remained silent about the iOBT. “Soon” is a very ambiguous and uncertain promise that only stir up people’s expectations. I believe anything more than a week shouldn’t be called “soon” especially for a f2p MMO since it risks its momentum during the launch date.

Personally, I don’t think delaying the international release would benefit IMC in any way without being transparent about what they’re doing and their plans. Sharing the progress of the release will keep people’s hype up but “soon” is perhaps the worst thing they could have done to kill people’s expectations.

“soon” is a staple in gaming development now. it lets people know that you’re working and it gives you room to take as long as needed.
translating is a nasty business, and it wouldn’t surprise me that IMC wants the translations polished so as to not cause any unnecessary annoyance internationally.

You make valid points but from my friends who play kTOS they are still experiencing a lot of the same client crashes that we did in CBT. I really don’t think the game is as up to snuff as we’d like it to be and I’m simply hoping that all this delay is to ensure that it’s as close to “acceptable” as it can get right now.

One less to compete in the top rank with me.
