Lose of money when you die

Nobody talks about doomsday, but this game already failed at one place… :stuck_out_tongue: The difference between white knights and normal people: we don’t really defend this game, we can say that this is bad and we wont play.

However all you can say: “It’s good! It’s ok that way! You have the problem, not our game!”

Also, it’s not us whose are arguing about this, we are fine with our statement that it will die when this comes, cause we will rather quit then play.

So, that’s the definition of white knight. Whenever we talk about our opinion and it’s negative you show up to defend your game. Nobody asked you, cause yeah, nobody gives a f. about your opinion. Yes, this is our personal preference and personal choice. Yes, we can decide what is bad and wrong in our eyes.

This is why I hate white knights and that’s why everyone call you guys that way.

Also, what you said was not an opinion. You were only sarcastic telling us that you like it. You had no reasoning why this is good or bad, just said some sarcastic white knight things. Opinion is when you say that : "This is good because… "

That’s the thing when you actually have your own reasoning with your own ideas.

When you can only say it’s good cause it’s ToS, it’s only white knight blabla…

And why do you think everyone is interested on your opinions instead exactly?

Imo you tend to exaggerate everything too much, you think everyone is going to quit just because you say so and overall you’re one of the most self-centered person I’ve seen on these forums. To the point I find your posts rather comical and I actually enjoy reading them somewhat

Anyways, this is forum so people are allowed to disagree with you and people create these threads to exchange opinions and discuss about different topics. (In case you didn’t know why people might give opinions you disagree with.)

Your definition of white knight on that post is pretty much what I said by the way; “you disagree with me and don’t hate some game mechanics I just claimed to be gamebreakingly bad (yet I keep playing every day), thus whiteknight”.

Every single thing that adds difficulty seems to be gamebreaking feature and it’ll be the end of this game according to you, so I’m not entirely sure whether you’re just genuinely overly dramatic person, or is it all just act

5 like on my post and the fact that I was descibing why this is a bad idea, not just saying that: “It’s a bad idea.”

Also, you said that this was your opinion:

Is there any reasoning or just childish sarcasm defendng your favorite game? Which one? Cause I see no points like:

  • This is actually a good thing! I have too much money and the money sink is needed.

  • This is a good idea, cause there has to be some things which can knock back wealthy players.

…or anything like that. We said why this is a bad idea and gave reasons. Do you understand the difference between white knights and normal people?

I got too tired to check the spelling and proofread yesterday night and I tend to get somewhat dyslexic if I write stuff in English at 1am:

Well, to be honest I almost bothered to post somewhat long reply why I prefer the current system and why I think it’s designed that way but I didn’t feel like going all serious business with this topic and deleted it and went with the funposting route.

Summary of it:

One reason the death penalty is there to encourage thinking your actions beforehand. It’s something older audience and smarter players excels at and giving them small advantage like this is what actually makes the playing experience more enjoyable for them. It won’t boil down to just how many hours you can play but how much skills you have too. And yes, choosing to kill only groups of mobs one is able to kill is one skill some players don’t have.

Difficulty and small punishments (100k sounds rather small to me for lvl 200+ considering that you actually died in the game) when you fail also gives old school players that nostalgic feeling: Not too long ago games actually had some difficulty and they weren’t just “keep pressing that W and clear all the obstacles without even chance of failing unless you stop and stand there for a minute”. And even then you can now just press ‘continue’ and continue from that spot like nothing happened. And they were more engaging because of that. So getting punished isn’t that nice but you can still easily deal with it, while managing to avoid the death is much more rewarding because of that. It makes grinding and bossing slightly more interesting when you don’t just half-assedly keep gathering mobs and grind them. Without the current system you could just pop up another soul crystal and finish off those mobs you pulled and couldn’t kill before running out of hp.

Another reason obviously to encourage people to party up. This is an mmo after all.

I hope you’re happy now, you actually made me bother write a proper reply on this thread. I usually don’t enjoy listing stuff I assume average reader knows already. It makes me feel like captain obvious while it earns only couple replies telling me that they got offended because they happen to disagree and how they think the thread is only about whining and no other opinions allowed, to say it nicely.

Lalala.

That’s when you dont read.

One reason you should read up on stuff, added to the list.

In ktos people aren’t grinding in dangerous areas when they risk dieing. WHile having lots of money on them.

Ever looked at the stars of a map?
1 Star= Drops nothing
2 Stars= Difficulty increases.
3 Stars= ++Difficualty Increase+Drops Silver on death

  • dungeon= drops gems.

If i remember it correctly~

It’s 10%?
use your silver if you’re bound to die~

Now, we are talking… :stuck_out_tongue:

While I understand your opinion, but you have to consider other things here.

  • Most of the players are working/going to school. We can’t always play together and if we can, we are mostly tired. We want to have some fun together and progressing, being rewarded.

  • Back in the old days the technology and etc… well that was how it worked. However if life can be made easier and etc…it should be imho. I mean, honestly… for me, it’s enough punishment to pay the price of 26k of repair.

  • The system is flawed if it’s wanting us to play together. This is not encouraging us to play together… why? Because let’s say… Me and my friends can go together as 4 dps and 1 healer. However this is not good enough for the game and it’s actually forcing us to go separate ways and find parties with the needed classes. Honestly, no game should tell me what to play and who to play with. This is something I can’t accept.

Basicly yes…the punishment is way too harsh. The repair cost is more than enough for me to feel to be punished. 100k is actually a huge amount money. I have more than 1,5 million silver almost every 2nd day and it’s almost always reduced to 90k silver by an instant when I go train, upgrade… Guess what, I’m nowhere near to max level attributes yet…

Yes, I’m happy that you could communicate with me as a human being and in a mature way. Thanks  Kudos to you!

lel im a cleric so i can survive once i get to that point of the game, good luck to the rest of u >:D.

Welp, TIL. Thanks man.

well i feel like this 24 hour maintanence was perfect i needed a break from the bugs.

At higher levels, maps have different amounts of stars. The stars indicate the difficulty of the map in general, but also the rewards for being in that map.

Every star means more “rewards” in general for the map (better exp, better drops, better quest rewards) but more difficult monsters, including the following:

☆ = Regular map.
☆☆ = Monsters are more aggressive. Drop gems on death.
☆☆☆ = Drop money on death.

If the area is too difficult for you, feel free to go to a lower star area to level. The area “Storage” that is being discussed here is a 3 star area, and quite popular because… you guessed it, it has good EXP.

Interesting…and quite bad, in my opinion. As this isn’t stated anywhere ingame, as far as i know. Gems are indeed mentioned, but there was nothing about dropping money. They should explain it somewhere, imho.

What the ■■■■, this is the first time i’ve so much as heard of this and i’ve played in both cbts. Where exactly is this stated in-game?

Losing money on death is fine, but losing it without the ability to even store it to begin with is complete bullshit. Losing % exp would be far more preferable to that…

Warning messages appear in the system log when you appear on the map.

I never noticed. My plague doctor was carrying me hard lol.
