Yeah, if you kept reading my post, you would have seen that I included “extremely sucessful/widespread f2p’s” under the category where bots aren’t really an issue. I would include PoE in there.
Ok but you said that types of MMOs that have very poor anti-bot software: F2P. But I don’t think that’s a rule.
Agree with the OP.
Truth is, IMC can push whatever bullshit reason to justify there reason for limitations in market/trading, but the truth is… they just want the ‘cheaper’ option from a business standpoint.
To make matters worst, players are now buying their new bullshit claim of a new anti-botting system, and “report” feature.
First off, IMC has proven that they are incompetent at handling their servers. Can they even handle a new load of new features without crashing/lagging/bugging their servers? (doubt it)
Season off, they are trying to convince all of YOU passionate players that this will help solve things, but it won’t. Yes, you need detection methods/report features, but without ADDITIONAL STAFF, all this becomes useless. IMC knows they need a anti-bot team, they know they need more programmers and GMs, but they have shown that $$$ is priority #1. They don’t want to make a great game, they want to be the greatest profitable game.
IMC, the dumbest game company that figuratively found gold, but chooses to spend it all rather then grow it.
If we are getting technical, Patch of Exile isn’t an MMORPG. But even if we are including it, PoE is the exception and not the rule.
