List of newest wiz farmer build (R9)

ok, maybe I’m still too sleepy :confused:slight_smile:
You convinced me

So the investment should be enough to cover that 340 gap in magic attack. On the good side, haste and pass will speed up the farming, making up for the smaller number of mobs linked with JP. It’s a hard decision to make

Yes, the final decision is up to you. If you prefer chrono speed and pass, thaum1-chrono3 will be nice. You can leave buffer-thauma job during party to other thauma3. Thaum1-chrono3 full INT might have some SP problems with sage2 SP costs, so if you like to invest a bit of SPR for INT/SPR build it is possible too.

Example level 5 micro dimension with attribute = 394 SP cost per overheat.

your last sentence convinced me on going thauma3!

Hi Guys. Im trying to land on my first wiz build. It will be my first real char so I need something that is somewhat good all around. Good farmer and can also do dungeons and such (dont care about PvP). Needs to be OK cheap and not require lots of funding.

I have been recommended something that looks likepyro1 + Linker2 + thauma3 + enchanter2. Would you say that is a safe bet for first char ?

(also anyone have a build link with skill points ?)

max enchant fire, joint penalty, hangman, swell buffs, enchant lightning, lightning hands, enchant earth. Take 10 swell body for farming.

Use Transpose THEN use HP pot.

You don’t Transpose for extra block rate, you use it for the extra CON to make healing potion extremely strong.

To compare, my lv 340 mixed INT/SPR build Wiz using lv 15 alch pot would get around 3k HP on the initial heal normally, but under Transpose that number jumps to about 8k.
This means that a single HP pot can heal me more or less to full HP while under Transpose.

So after I get enough HP, I can either use the excess to tank a little more damage or just remove Transpose buff to get my damage back.

I just want to input here. Physical link should be taken as well now that challenge mode(CM) is a daily. It is really strong at ensuring team’s survivability and might be able to negate the need for a healer as mobs dealing 600-1000 damage deal 1-200 damage( observation from narvas temple CM run)

In enchanter, do not take a single point in agility. (unless you praise rugal)

Thanks for the build link, much appreciated !

How should I invest stat points ?

I would say go full int. The rest of the stats you lack like con and spr can be gotten from armour.

I keep forgetting I can manually remove the buff. I’m used to leaving it on for about a minute after casting. Good tip.

@greyhiem What is the usual stat distribution for that build? Full int/dex/spr? Ty

Hi Borel, I recommend either INT/SPR/DEX. If you will use it solely to farm, getting SPR, INT or SPR/INT is fine. This build does not use a lot of SP because you just need to buff every 5 minutes. Buffing is highest SP cost. To add dps outside of link swell combo, you could get some dex. Recommend 120 dex if your //ping is lower than 0.05

Depend on the farming content that you like to do:

1 DG300 Daily Run (660k + Talts + Cards earn around 1m for 3 runs)

Enchanter2 (1/5)

  • Lack of AoE, may rely linker/cryo to kill faster.

Sage2 (2/5)

  • Can kill with ultimate dimension, but rely cryo3 to frostpillar.

Shadowmancer2 (3/5)

  • Condensation/Conjuration are good aoe, but CD is a bit long, if have linker+thorn can be 5/5.

Sorcerer1-3 (5/5)

  • Good Aggro, large AoE

Warlock3 (5/5)

  • Demon Scratch + Invocation is a beast

Featherfoot3 (1/5)

  • High CD, lack of AoE, may rely linker/cryo3 to perform enervation or other skill to trigger.

Elementalist3 (4/5)

  • Still quite weak at lv300, but with some investment in attribute and weapon, every of its skill can 1hit kill, consider expensive to play since you need weapon/attribute.

2 Challenge Mode/Unique Raid (If stage 5 can get at least 10 piece gears and big chunk of exp, eventually a step-stone for unique raid to get some ultra expensive recipe for sell)

Enchanter2 (1/5)

  • Lack of AoE, basically you won’t rely on this circle to do challenge. But they helped as a support, or cryo3chrono3 is wonderful for challenge party support.

Sage2 (1/5)

  • High CD, basically you won’t rely on this circle to do challenge, but good missile hole and duplicate support. Same, if cryo3chrono3 is wonderful for challenge party support.

Shadowmancer2 (3/5)

  • Might SP insufficient, lack of skills and small window of CD, but powerful enough to kill things. Good thing is unique raid most mobs and boss are holy element = double damage.

Sorcerer1-3 (4/5)

  • Good Aggro, large sustain AoE damage, a good damage mitigation in challenge mode, you helped your party draw out lot of aggro, but lack of burst damage to kill fast to fulfill the gauge bar.

Warlock3 (5/5)

  • Demon Scratch + Invocation is a beast, best DPS class for challenge mode in game especially with a Cryo3Chrono3 in party. With looting chance gears you get lot of drops for your party in challenge if you able to be the last hit (which is easily with demon scratch). Unique raid also deal good damage since many mobs are holy element.

Featherfoot3 (2/5)

  • At least can be Healer and Enervation as dps support, but CD is long… most time don’t know what to do, rely on lower circle to support the party.

Elementalist3 (4/5)

  • Same as (1), need high investment to make it viable, frostcloud cannot hit flying (especially Sausys 9 a lot!), some skills have AAR/target limit, but overall is good filler for Warlock3.

3 Free Dungeon (hunt orange gears, cards album, opal/ruby)

Enchanter2 (3/5)

  • Need some investment in matk, else link can break before things melt. Not viable for swell mobs, unless you have 10k of matk, but not so worth to invest high matk in enchanter build for farming purpose. But with high dex/int can be a great small AoE dpser.

Sage2 (3/5)

  • Also rely on linker

Shadowmancer2 (5/5)

  • If invested it can be 5/5, the most valid build to perform JP+HK+Swell, but still need very good Matk/Loot Chance only worth to do so.

Sorcerer1-3 (5/5)

  • You need T5-T10 gears with Marnox card to cheese melting here, else with linker2-3 is also very valid choice.

Warlock3 (4/5)

  • A bit high CD, demon scratch + invocation is beast but you need distance to unleash the full power, hence you need cc skill like frostpillar/firepillar/raise/JP+HK/Sleep to manage that, powerful but slow, not need high investment. Mastema with attribute also a guarantee can kill skill to use.

Featherfoot3 (5/5)

  • Can be stronger damage than shadow with multiple debuff and link’s poison attribute, rely on linker (and thauma), but shadowmancer2 already can do the job of ff3, so peoples prefer link2-thaum3 compare to link2-thaum2 which looks incomplete.

Elementalist3 (3/5)

  • Start falling off due to high mdef and hp, hardly kill anything with skills unless you invested a lot.

For the rest of content, like farming in general maps for mats and questing, as long as you have 1 of the dps class you are doing fine.

So, enjoy building your farming wizard

I never considered link2-thaum2-warlock3 as a farming build, I don’t think it would be bad. Higher CD than featherfoot/shadow/enchanter but sufficient skill damage to rotate single skills and no AoE attack ratio problems. Link sleep swell 1x demon scratch/pole/mastema/evil sacrifice should clear a pack of mobs. I tried many farming wizards, never tried warlock to farm.

I would like to add a small correction, the mobs inside raid are dark element & holy element, however the boss is Dark element.

I see, I thought Kugheri Balzer is holy element, but its boss is dark element.

I would just highlight that Warlock3 (maybe with cryo3 or thaum3) with looting chance gears is best for challenge mode (gears drop like rain), for players who lack of time to play and only want to do challenge mode/dg300 daily is a good choice. (but those drops is random to party if you are selfless).

In term of general mats or HG340 solo farming, then i think link2-thaum2/3-shadow2/enc2/ff3 is better choice.

Hi, What skill does Sage’s Ultimate Dimension: Enlarged Magic Circle use for? (Flame Ground, Frost Cloud, PoA?)

The attribute is bad because it is just 10%, too small. Do not take it. Yes it is used for flame ground, frost cloud, Pole of Agony, fire pillar, frost pillar, (…)

How about an alchemist farmer ?
