List of best debuffs boosted by Barbarian's Warcry (unconfirmed)

Ok, so from the previous balance talk here, we know that Barbarian’s Warcry is going to receive a boost to extend debuffs for up to 10 secs at circle 3:

  • Circle 3 Warcry debuff attribute: debuffs applied by the casting character will last 1 sec longer per attribute level on enemies affected by Warcry (maximum level 10)

So which swordsman debuffs are worth extending? I’ve listed out some that come to mind:

PVE:

Best debuff:

  • Serpentine (Barb 3 > Dragoon 2)

Very good debuffs:

  • Spear Lunge (Barb 3 > Hoplite 2)
  • Cleave (already in Barb 1)
  • Slithering - Additional damage (Barb 3 > Rode 2)
  • High Kick (Barb 3 > Rode 3 - sadly this will put u in rank 8 so not good)
  • Zwerchhau (Barb 3 > Doppel 3)
  • Lunge (Barb 3 > Fencer 3)
  • Attack Coquille (Barb 3 > Fencer 3)
  • Balestra Fente (Barb 3 > Fencer 3)
  • Dethrone (Barb 3 > Dragoon 2)
  • Headbutt - Additional damage (Barb 3 > Murmillo 1)

Other good debuffs:

  • Umbo Thrust (Barb 3 > Pelt 3)
  • Skull Swing (Barb 3 > Highlander 3)
  • Crosscut (Barb 3 > Highlander 2)
  • Pierce - Bleeding (Barb 3 > Hoplite 1)
  • Targe Smash (Barb 3 > Rode 1)
  • Shield Push (Barb 3 > Rode 1)
  • Shield Bash (Barb 3 > Rode 1)
  • Montano - Slow (Barb 3 > Rode 1)
  • Keel Hauling - Bleeding (Barb 3 > Corsair 1)
  • Serpentine - Bleeding (Barb 3 > Dragoon 1)
  • Evade Thrust - Bleed (Barb 3 > Murmillo 1)

PVP:

Best Debuff:

  • Iron Hook (Barb 3 > Corsair 1)

Very good debuffs:

  • Stun (Any class capable of stun - longer duration = easier to land with warcry)
  • Joust (Barb 3 > Lancer 1)

Other good debuffs:

  • Langort - Blocking (Barb 3 > Pelt 3, hard to land)
  • Crown - Reduce (Barb 3 > Highlander 1)
  • Cross Guard - Extend Stagger (Barb 3 > Highlander 1)
  • Spear Throw - Bind (Barb 3 > Hoplite 2)
  • Zucken - Shock (Barb 3 > Doppel 2)
  • Dragon Soar - Shock (Barb 3 > Dragoon 2)
  • Mokuton no Jutsu Bind (Barb 3 > Shinobi 1)
  • Crush - Gear Destroy (Barb 3 > Lancer 1)

Note: Some debuffs work well for both PVP and PVE, the categories are just in general.

If I’ve missed any debuffs please let me know

Does it extend just debuffs from the caster or any debuff, if it’s the latter, then it should work with any debuff, not just swordsman.

So it’s the person that casted Warcry - ie. yourself

I have some doubts Hook can be extended, since it shows no timer and the corsair casting Hook will also receive a line2 buff/debuff(rooted/immobile) when used.

For warcry forget increase in:
Stun, Iron Hook and bleeding(some bleeding are based on PA) because will be really broken. If IMC implement, the nerf hammer will hit fast.

Messing paths:
(Barb 3 > Rode 3)
(Barb 3 > Rode 2)
(Barb 3 > Rode 1)
(Barb 3 > Highlander 3)

They said will increase barb sinegy with others ranks so we can assume they will not limit this increase to the barb debuffs only.

This is really interesting, but many builds based on barb 3 keeps you as a backpac and… well, there are better builds to replace you.

I think you must debuff your target first with warcry to get the increase in debuffs time. Don’t know if it will increase debuff time in a target not affected by warcry.

Guys… Iron Hook is not a debuff… It is a channeled skill. The BUFF timer is on YOU not on your target, and the skill is interupted (and the buff is canceled) if you move.

It could be fun but I do not believe warcry will affect stuns/knockdowns. It sounds weird.

Cleave and Zwerchhau are going to be HUGE, like REALLY HUGE. Keeping those debuffs for the whole double cyclone duration will basically double the Cyclone damage output (pre-nerf Doppel are you back from the dead?). With the next Cyclone changes (more atk speed, less duration) maybe we will be able to fit in the whole rotation within those debuff times, wich will further increase our damage output.

Doppel is really getting insane with this change.

Yeah Barb 3 Doppels will benefit the most from this change. Having a long duration Cleave and Zwerchhau is OP.

Barb 3 Dragoons won’t benefit much since Hop 3 is already very good with spammable Spear Throw.
Barb 3 Fencers won’t benefit much since Coquille can already have 100% uptime.
Barb 3 Murmillo won’t benefit much since you can’t have Barb 3 Rod 3 so you can’t extend high kick’s duration, only Murmillo skills

    - Warcry increases the duration of ALL the casters debuff skills that the enemy target is suffering by 1 Second per attribute level. ~ (Up to 10 Levels)

Looks like we can increase bleeding duration. Will the nerf hammer smash again? :wink:

5k Bleeding damage can be achieved so 100k after 20 seconds? If you’re not a cleric or have spr is a KO.
IMC always take off cool skills from swordsman. Remember Savagery?

That’s not OP, like you’ll ever hit someone with a debuff to begin with.

The warcry buff is mainly target for Doppel because by IMC logic if you nerf/fix Doppel you have to make up for it with buffing Barb because everyone has to be Barb anyways.
