Using my method or another? Would be interesting to see if the method I used works for everyone else who uses Linux/MacOS.
I’m using Fedora 33 (Buster) just in-case anyone was curious.
So here’s how I’m playing right now on Linux:
- Fedora 34.
- X.org (for Nvidia) or Wayland if you’re on AMD
- Steam from the
steamdnf package (No Flatpak) - A custom bundle of Proton: https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/tag/6.1-GE-1 (Use this specific version please)
- If your games are on an NTFS disk please follow this: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/wiki/Using-a-NTFS-disk-with-Linux-and-Windows

After all these steps just open normally on Steam, the first time it will take some time on the “Launching App Modal” from Steam. Please do not close it, it will take some time.
If you open htop you can see that some wine processes will be running.
Wait for it until usually installs all DirectX libraries.
Then when the IMC launcher asks which platform, just choose x64 normally.
