How do they compare for making silver?

Anything you can already easily kill SR just does a better job at because it has high ASpd so high attacks and high mobility so little time between kills.
If it’s anything that you’re not killing very fast, Linker/Thaum will mostly win.
This build is mostly CM for me. I have Frieno set that I borrowed from a friend and Asio pistol ichor. I net around 900k silver alone from stage 1-5 around 7-8 min and more than 300k+ in loot. I haven’t tried thaum on my build, maybe I can get better results from the looting chance, who knows?
You can also use SR BM Linker and hunt on Baubas Cave, it’s really good.

You can mix around the BM skills as you want. But this is my setup atm.

With trans10 +18 Pistol and velcoffer gear.
I had it trans 0 and it was only 1 minute longer, most of the damage is coming from asio pistol, and in later stages, both asio and frieno.

Have not you thought, or tried, with enchanter or corsair, for the subject of buffs for more damage?
Or why do you use it with linker? If you could tell me the reason.

I tried them both, but I think to make full use of corsair for example, linker goes quite well. Especially in single target with electric shock, which deal a lot of damage single target, which I lack. But in my case, it doesn’t matter since I’m only going through stage 1-5. For the buffs, I already kill things way too fast in later stages and it’s mostly due to Asio pistol ichor and Frieno set. But I noticed when I did stage 6 at one point, casting joint penalty and using bloody overdrive on those packs of mobs deletes them quite quickly.
I also use joint penalty and then napalm bullet to clear out groups of mobs, it does the job nicely. I use those skills when my Retreat shot and Marching fire are on CD. I’ve done stage 6 and I barely do damage with my SR/BM skills, but I managed to clear the waves at 3± minutes. But feline at stage 6 hurts a lot, and I have no room for healing there. If I just run around, I lose efficiency in clearing mobs and I just waste time.

Why you use SR and BM in the same build? Don’t BM skills can’t be used while mounted? also the same for SR i think

BM has skill that can be used mounted and can be interesting, but the SR does not contribute anything to the BM, everything depends on what is your main focus.
You can use freeze bullet with limacon and it works against the bosses in CM and Bernice. Caracole increases damage against bosses which helps, I barely use it, though. Everything else is just AoE spam with Marching fire, Retreat shot, Bloody Overdrive and Joint penalty + Napalm.
