It makes threads load slower for people with not-so-fast internet connection, and it’s terrible for those with broadband limits.
Allow linking to images, .gif, .webm/etc, without loading automatically on the post.
in some way I understand you, but on the other side, dont you need somewhat okay-ish internet to play the game, which would mean, this should be a less problem?
or do you talk about mobile?
If anything they should have a preference setting to show/not show images within threads.

I talk about opening a thread and have 3 .gif in a post instead of an actual conversation.
Also, internet speed doesn’t really matter for playing the game, what matters the most is how stable it is.
Most of online games requires as a minimun a laughable broadband speed.
