LF Tank Build for PVE and Velcoffer

LF a Tank Build for PVE and Velcoffer,
base on peltasta 3, to provoke large amount enemies,

i guess most highly recommend are pel3 hop2 Dragoon3,
or maybe pel3 rod3 shinobi mur1,

but i have a weird build on my mind ,
pel3 hop2 shinobi mur1 ret1,
full con with +16 Trands10 weapon,
will this build work? lol
if not, any recommend build ?

is retiarius debuff work on boss?

btw,
did Pel get rework on korea upcomming patch ?

This is the one i’m using for worldbosses and soon for velcobro: an all-rounder build able to do decently in all content (challenge 7 to Velco and WB).

Pelt 3/ hop 3/ murmi 2

It enhances your durability with a high block value and high defenses. You are also mobile with a sprint buff and up to 3 different charges letting you getting in and out.

The damage output is really decent for all the content.

For hoplite points, you can take 13 in stabbing and 1 on long stride to maximize both your damages and your mobility. You can also take 9 in long stride and 5 in spear throw to maximize your aoe damages and CC (bind and stun) to improve your usefulness in challenge mode.

For pelt, i don’t like buff without 100% uptime so high guard with 1 point to enhance umbo blow damages (one of your strongest skill after a block).

Swapping Murmi 2 for Retiarius is also an option to enhance your pierce skill against mobs. Sadly without circle 2, your nets aren’t working on bosses. It is also a good way for the Pelt3/Rodelero3 builds to get an access to the spear.

I’m not a fan of Shinobi and it is still an option but you have to bear in mind that it has been nerfed quite a lot.
Pelt3/rodel3/shino/murmi are in a bad spot, first because the clones aren’t taking any advantage of any attributes or any debuffs (Cassis cristas, high kick, headbutt debuffs and lethargy) and secondly because you don’t have access to a spear.
Shinobi are still viable without any doubt but feel stronger on doppel and fencer whom have more skills than the skills copied by the clones to use when bunshin is in cd.

Peltasta got improved a lot so it won’t be changed in the near future anywhere. We already have on Itos the guardian buff and the damages improved by shield defense value.

If you want a true tank, you can make a Pelt3 with Templar2. While Spiritual Chain doesn’t share Ein Sof, a Templar can do it with Buff Share. Shield Charger is an amazing buff and Warp to/Summon guild member provides great utility too. Other circles depend on your focus:

  • Sword1 Pelt3 Hoplite3 Templar2: great tanking ability, huge def and huge block rate; Stabbing deals good damage and you help Fencers with Spear Lunge (not every Fencer is Hoplite3 Fencer3)
  • Sword1 Pelt3 Squire3 Templar2: more utility outside of Velcoffer Nest; good if you haven’t a Squire in your lodge or in your guild; Base Camp+Refreshment Table turns CM7 into a walk in the park with squire food and triple duration buffs, specially Shield Charge with 100% uptime; also good to support your guild in World Boss hunting.
  • Sword1 Pelt2 Hoplite1 Cataphract3 Templar2: more focused on tanking+crowd control; Trot helps in PvE to find field bosses and world bosses a lot faster to summon your guildmates and Rush is a great tool for CC.

after 2days research and some study,

i have pick pel3 hop2 dragoon3,
is not tanky as mur and templar,
but this the build i personal like :stuck_out_tongue:

so, 1 more question,
for my build now, should i use gren gem for cri?
or just stick to red gem for stable damage?

The higher your trans lvl is the better green gems will be.
And you have Finestra too.

But i might be biased since i never use Red gems on non Clerics ^^.

I guess you lose a lot by not going Hoplite 3, is pelta2 that bad? I mean you will only use the taunt skills and Guardian nv.10 is almost full time.
