LF advices for r7

Hey fellows Clerics :3

I would like to ask an advice about one of my cleric-siblings.
She is almost R6 now, and her build is :
Cleric 1 - Krivis 1 - Dievdirby 3 - (R6 incoming : Krivis 2)

I designed this one to be an offensive zone support, ET friendly if possible (read : as an off’ support/dd), and I also use her as my main character for TBL. So far I’m happy with what I got, and I really look forward R8 to enhance her zone-support capacities by going Taoist.

Thing is, even if I know pretty well where I wanna go with this cutie, I’m still confused about what R7 I’d better take regarding the girl’s purpose.

  • Cleric 2 was my first idea, to make her more supporty/healy and probably more useful aswell for endgame PvE (ET and stuff)
  • Krivis 3 for more Electrical dmg to get the best of the Taoist Electrical buffs, and so, buff her offensive abilities; still, I’m not really convinced by this option because I’m afraid that Zaibas scaling might fall short post-220
  • PD 1 for more support, heals, anti-CC, and because I’m using her in PvP, might be another option but I dont’ plan to get past the first circle, so I’m not sure if it is a wise move.
  • Oracle/Kabba/Druid 1 are also possible I guess, but I feel like they are less obvious than the other options, for this particular build.

So after days of wondering, I decided to open myself to advices from the clerical community to help myself to find what would be the more interesting option. I would be happy to read your advices and opinions

After you hit level 210 there will be plenty of grind spots from then till the end of the game (alemeth, evac, storage, maven, …). Having heal only at level 5 makes it really difficult to keep your party members alive in those grinding parties.

And ET is obviously even worse.

If you don’t care about making parties, then you can keep cleric at c1. Otherwise, I strongly recommend getting cleric c2…

Seeing the base damage of Taoist skills, I really doubt if you’d need Krivis 3 just for the zaibas upgrade. Oracle is only good to take at rank 1, a good filler indeed but past rank 1, you need to invest on it getting to c3. Pd1 if Pvp but Cleric 2 is just too good to pass at the moment. Unless you have a priest 2, you can’t sustain heals and would most likely fail to heal members would result to their death.

Thanks for your advices
So far you are comforting my first thoughts on this dilemma ; I was also wondering if this build was solid enough on healing abilities to take the spot of the main healer in heavy content parties
In my mind, this VS full support build (Cleric 1 - Priest 3 - Chaplain - XX) seems a little light on the heal / defensive buffs side, so I was wondering : would a high level party have enough from this cleric to sustain the heals of the whole party, or would I be placed aside of a full support healer and then act like a secondary healer / dd ?
This is all about roles and what is a “meta” team in end game PvE and I look for feedback from players who already tried ET for example.

I have a high level chaplain without cleric 2.

Just mass heal and heal lv 5 is a bit lackluster. It starts depending a lot on the rest of your party. If they’re very good and kill stuff without taking much damage, you can heal them nicely. But if you’re in a party of low to average melee dps members… oh boy…

Heal lv 10 makes the whole thing a lot “safer”. Even if your party isn’t so awesome, you can guarantee nobody will die granted they have enough hp to not die in 1 hit.

As a mostly cleric player, I can tell you that when people invite a cleric to their party, they expect you to heal, not to deal any dps. They won’t bother if you just stand there casting your heals and not doing anything else. But they will bother if you try to deal damage and not heal anyone.

I see your point here ; so basically, as long as I drop my heal lv10 when it’s up, I can do whatever I want - drop statues, zaibas, taoist’s talisman-ing, running in circle like a mad horse or stand idle… I’m pretty okay with that really, it’s still better than just doing heal :stuck_out_tongue:

As long as I can damage things when heal aren’t requested
