For those who say we should pick retiarus at r10 is not really necessary, because trident finish require 1hand spear to use it. For those who using 2handed spear, shinobi/barb will be a good option.

serpentine is mostly for the debuff, so I would use that before pull / throw, if possible. If not, then yeah might as well pull + serp + trident finish

To be fair this is a thread discussing hybrid tank/goon, so a shield + 1h spear is optimal.

It is very hard to make a goon3 build that can both tank and be effective in pvp. I would recommend picking one.

That’s a shame but I had a feeling it was gonna be the case. I’ll probably drop Pelt and keep this character focused on PvP then. Unfortunately, PvE content in this game is still too simplistic to hold my interest in the long term. The added dynamism of going up against other players is really what I’m looking for.

1.) You don’t want restrain for pvp, it actually hurts you since you will be cycling your stun diminishing returns too quickly and making your enemy immune to stuns. You want sw3 for pain barrier 15 and the attribute. Without it, expect to be instantly crowd controlled the moment you get close to a wizard since Earthquake is instant cast now.

Thanks for the info. I understand that the current PvP meta is still heavily focused on Froster Lord freeze effects. Would Pain Barrier give me a solid chance to resist it or should I prepare to just be frustrated until IMC drops some kind of nerf?

For everyone recommending Retiarius at Rank 10, I appreciate the Min/Max nature of that choice but the class just isn’t what I’m looking for. I’ve watched a few videos of Goon3 -> Rete and the playstyle just looks boring. Impressive numbers but still, boring.

All that being said, I’m looking at something along the lines of Sword3 -> Hop3 -> Goon3 -> Shinobi. If anyone has any recommendations on class swaps or skill distribution, I’d be glad to hear them. Keep in mind that PvP is looking like my primary activity.

it died last week. Froster Lord Effects changed to slow

Pelt 2 is very good now, 99% uptime on 100% pdef/mdef buff

If you are looking for something fun rather than poking high damage with net, you can go corsair/nak reit2. Lots of disable with knockback/spin

For PvP i would try something like Sw3>Pelt2>x>Goon3>ReteC1

In PvP Rete should bethe best choice or something with Lancer o.o

That’s interesting. Maybe Barb for the synergy with Cleave? Having an on demand Stun with Helm Chopper looks good too.
