Leveling so slow

So I’ve been playing this game for about a week already and only got to lv65.
I’ve read some posts that people can get to level 100+ in just 8 hours or so.

I do all the main and side quests, complete 100% maps, and also grind a little bit. I also have to use some exp cards to catch up to the map level.

What am I doing wrong? Does class makes a huge difference in leveling speed?
I’m doing Wizard C3 then Elementalist btw.

Please share your leveling speed and your class, as well as some advice for faster leveling.

Thanks.

idk what youve been doing but 7 days and 65 levels, you really need to learn on how to play efficiently.

I work full time 5 days a week and 8hrs a day so i know what its like to have time constraints.

Thanks but share your leveling speed and your class please.

If you are new to the game and started with Wiz C3 > Ele that would be pretty normal.

Wiz is one of the most painful classes to level up and only becomes a bit easier at C3.

Did you take your quick cast attribute just to be sure?

Yea I have the quick cast attribute maxed out.

Magic missile is pretty much my only skill to grind though, and it has 17 seconds cool down X(

Please share how fast you level and your class. I’m not gonna judge I just want some references…

I’m currently 273

Swordsman>Pelt>Barb 2>Corsair>Fencer 2

Everything was easy pre-200, I’ll just taunt and use Seism (starting barb2) and most mobs would probably be dead or half dead. It only starts to get a bit hard when you get to the point where most mobs you would be facing have elite-level HP.

Alright thanks a bunch.

I think I will just use up my exp cards. Wizard C3 grinding is painful…

When you do side quests, do you jump around maps? Or you just follow the main quests and do side quest along with it?

Whenever I visit a map, I make sure to do everything while I’m there, If I cannot do everything yet and have to come back later, I’ll save a backspace warp from any quests to come back later.

I also grind on any map whenever it feels like a good map to grind. Always do it, sometimes randomly strolling around would lead you to a shiny blue mob.

There’s a nice kToS leveling guide out there on the ToS subreddit for when to use cards and it tells you which levels to run dungeons for good exp. At level 50 you can run the dungeon on Tenet Garden map, at level 50 with a token, 3 runs will get you about 10+ levels, and running it again the next day for 3 runs should get you another 7-8 levels or so. I went from 50 to 69 in 2 days of dungeon runs with it (that’s 6 dungeon runs).

I know you said you do all the main and side quests, the guide will tell you to do all of the Klaipeda maps and all of the Orsha maps… not sure if that really helps with people’s leveling speed but it can be done as an alternative to running dungeons if you don’t like those- or just for more exp cards if you want to do those + dungeons.

When you hit 100+ you can run the Merc building mission-dungeons (whatever you like to call them), 3 times a day, located in Fedimian. Those gives a nice chunk of exp as well until level 200ish. Mostly everyone queues for the first one because it’s quick.

Is dungeon party-only?

I can’t enter the one in tanet garden.

Question is, why do you want to rush your leveling? Aren’t you enjoying doing quests and learning about the lore?

I mean, for reals, why would you rush the game experience unless you only care about end-game PVP.

I do have time to play but I enjoy my time in-game. Took me 2 weeks to level 2 characters past 100 (Chronolinker and Battle Paladin). But both of them are in Wings of Vibora’s top 10% because I do all there is to do. :0

The only thing I’d tell you as an advice is: Save EXP cards to skip the end of EXP curves. Since they reset at a number of levels you’ll find leveling quite easy. Just gotta get the hang of it I guess.

I use this to plan my EXP card usage:

I mean, it’s cool that people are telling you to use guides and all, they might give you a solid foundation, but finding out how you prefer to level up is up to you. You know… That saying about teaching how to fish and all…

I got to lvl 80 in 2 days. If you have done all the quests, I think you are missing dungeon runs which can accelerate your level pretty quickly.

Yes, dungeons are party only. You can create a 1 man party if you wish but highly not advisable.

Thanks Yamashio.

I do understand the leveling exp curve and reset stuff (or whatever it’s called), so when to use exp cards is not a concern.
I do read a lot of guides on leveling. While I do not have problem on how to level, I’m concerned about the AMOUNT OF TIME I spent leveling. (Most guides, if not all, don’t provide approximately how long it takes to get to certain level)

My goal in this game is to try many different classes (with decent builds, not just C1 on everything), so yes I do want to rush to a high level. I’m just a little worried that I am spending large amount of unnecessary time in game.

Thanks for the advice.

Also, thanks Darkness, I will try the dungeon.

its a grinding game. live with it, deal with it. i’m leveling slow too but i enjoy it. you’ll bored of the game should you cap levels too fast. this i can guaranteed.

you can follow this guide if you want
