Leveling 1-300 Guide

i believe the exp penalty from killing monsters that are higher/lower level than you is gone

I guess i can, but requires a few x8, multiply and dg reset voucher, we had a lot with event/compensation, so i guess u’ll be able to do, i’m still runing afew low char with similar method.

It’s not gone, but they rise the range its 40 less ~ more i guess.

Honestly it’s more that dungeon and mission runs give many EXP now from rank 1 to 6 (level 180), then when you arrive at level 180 grind fields are already open (hunting grounds, general fields like Alemeth, and so on)

There are just so many changes within 1 year:

  • EXP penalty is now ±40 levels instead 20
  • more EXP from dungeons and earlier dungeons are now solo-able, so for new players while solo-ing is just few minutes slower, it gives you more silver

  • Pardoner and Squire buffs are more noticable
  • Easier queue, you can use 2 to 4 plus the range party widened, in beta you need 5 persons that ± 10 levels within your level
  • A lot kind of dungeon vouchers and EXP tomes

Sorry but I’ll be a little critical here.

  • Skipping the first area is a terrible idea, you didn’t tell them any of the important things to do there.
    • Grab the warpstone, 2 seconds now will save you time later
    • Do the main quest lines there until the Zemyna statue, the levels are fast enough and the Zemyna statue will help you, Mushcaria is decent EXP and it’s not going to take long at all.
  • Tenet Garden to 60 is a terrible idea. With a 0% multiplier this will take you a MUCH longer time than running the main quests up to this area and completing the Seal of Space quest which you want to do on your first character so that you can get a few more EXP cards to make your second character that much easier, AND the quests through B1 are actually pretty good and are not very grindy as it’s literally ‘move along’ and not stay in the same area doing the same thing for 10 minutes like Gateway of the Great King or something. There are some tips I would throw in here like placing the B1 quest crystal properly in one of the rooms with tons of mobs as opposed to near the NPC
  • It should be specifically noted that the only time you should really be skipping Lvl 50 dungeon is if
  • You are going for 80DG on the same day and are going to grind out the character yet ALSO are too poor to just buy some dungeon reset vouchers
  • You dislike the lvl50 dungeon or are playing a character that can’t solo it easy (Anyone can with pardoner buffs) AND no one is queuing up.
  • There are better grinding areas for quite a few of the levels you listed as well as good alternatives.
  • Getting to Workers Lodge can be done by asking on Shout and often people will help a newbie, you should note this as well as the gimmick of the map that actually makes it go from good to great. You also need some editing at this part because you say the mob density is great then proceed to walk to take 2 seconds+ between one of the mobs, you don’t even show off the best spawn rooms (part of the gimmick) that makes it good, or maps connecting to it.
  • You completely skipped over Cafrisun, which is a bit important for newbies since they can’t trade for 14 weeks and this will carry a lot of characters, it’s worth noting the spawn time is 30minutes and they can do the quest in that area hope to find it and if not kill in the area a bit (should be underleveled so it’s decent), and if they kill it, channel jump t kill the other, time it and come back in 28~ minutes to be prepared for another 2 kills and hope you get the set with that.
  • Completely skipped over Nefritas Cliff
  • Completely skipped over often times better training areas that exist on the Orsha side of things
  • Lack of emphasis on exploration which will be helpful not only for cards but for future characters. Making specific note of abusing quests to properly warp back after showing a part of the map that’s a bit out of the way.

The editing of the videos needs a lot of work, I’ll give you the white text surrounded by black outlines as that’s a mistake (not outlining font) I see people make too often and you didn’t.

You should also take good care to prioritize showing routes for things like this.

Learning the balance of Questing/Grinding/Dungeoning for leveling a character early and little quirks like saving your cards to kill a mass of mobs (Nefritas Cliff, Tenet Garden) will get you nice experience.

The big problem with the lack of some of this information is it makes it not useful to first time players, and for people on their second character it’s much better for them to go full explore some maps and they will get cards that can bring them to Lv46 on EVERY NEW character if they put in a few hours on their main to explore.

Overall I would not suggest this video to someone who’s playing it for their first time, or someone making a second character.

EXP Penalty has changed which helps a lot because some mobs have a much better HP/EXP(OR CExp) ratio like for example monsters in Tenet 2F or Demon Prison District 2 and you can exploit that for much longer before it falls off.

Egnome(Lv 48) Exp per HP : .37
Black Maize(Lv 49) Exp per HP : .27
Farm Ellum(Lv87) Exp per HP: .09

This means that for every HP of damage you are doing to ann Egnome you are getting .37 experience. to a Farm Ellum that is .09 You would have to do 4x the damage for the same amount of exp. If you look at Black Maize it’s not too far off though but not as good and nor is the spawn in any location of the map quite as good as that room in 2F of Egnomes.

Prior to the nerf of the spawn in that room you could easily skip quests at that level and go to 60 ‘by mistake’ while waiting for a friend to hit 50 elsewhere, it wasn’t unheard of to level to 60 or higher there as a normal thing, but there are better places to go and oftentimes you can grab a few of the easier quests with good payout on the way to Lv80 dungeon so a mix of completing quests but prioritizing killing is actually best if you’re not considering tomes/etc.

Here’s what I did. Leveled some alts a few days ago. Really awful ones like SPR link mage.

lvl 1-10 in west siluai woods. The density of the mobs is worth it. Do the quest too.

lvl 10 to 20 Srautas gorge
lvl 10 to 45 tenent garden

lvl 45 to 120 royal mausoleum chapel

lvl 120 to demon prison 2, Until when depends on you.

Doable in a few hours except the Demon prison part. Walking sucks though. Great if you have at least one person to join you. If you have no cash for buffs, blessing is the one you need most.

However I don’t have a map for 170 to 200. You can go alemeth as early as 190(lvl gap penalty) but that 20 levels is I have no clue where to grind.

I’ve got to disagree with you. Doing quests is a slowest possible way to level up you char. Tenet Garden without any multiplier takes up to an hour or less to hit 60. Many players can tell you the same that doing quests isn’t a fast way to level up.

I’m gonna disagree with anything Cafrisun related too, as it’s waste of time standing in a single spot hopping to get it’s full set. You’d faster hit 100+ than get Cafrisun.

There is nothing good about Nefritas Cliff

I don’t know any of them, besides they are not needed since level 100 can be easily reached with listed areas and dgs.

It’s a guide for fast leveling, not exploration, etc.

With the rest I’ve got to agree, I’ll be updating my leveling videos, they really need a rework.

I will have to agree with @penetrosity. If just want to grind monsters for solo level up only, tenet garden isn’t the best location to grind. The monsters give way to low exp for effective grind per kill.

One thing to note is that it is relatively easy to get Sacrament pardoner buffs as they are selling 700-1000 silver per hr of buffs. Sacrament grants holy elemental damage bonuses, which gives additional damage against dark type monsters. So, just move ahead after tenet garden into Tenet Church 2F. Go grind there for a while and you will realise that tenet garden actually gives really low exp per hr grind compared to church 2F.

The grind path I recommend is as follows:

  • lv1-15 Miner’s Village.
  • lv15-30 Enroute to Tenet Garden, Tenet Garden
  • lv30-50 Tenet Church 2F

The grind time should be faster than just straight garden till 60.

Exploration IS fast leveling once you take a second character into account, if you’re being even close to efficient it sometimes will be on the first character alone without taking the second into account (Considering someone joining right now has very little compensation)

Tenet Chapel 2F is faster than Garden unless you happen to have a kill speed that is enough to NOT outpace Tenet Garden’s spawn rate in that area, but too fast for 2F, which is a bit of a narrow window. You also have to be doing enough damage to NOT 1hko Tenet 2F but indeed 1hko Tenet Garden, which with blessing (even after the upcoming nerf) will be an almost impossible subset to fall under
If you look here, when you are NOT 1HKO’ing Tenet Garden is better, until the Exp starts to fall off from level difference, which is where you can choose Guards or 2F.

Nevellet Quarry 1F/2F beats out both of those in both ways though, pound for pound the Exp per HP is better AND it’s much more Exp if you are killing via level up (which might not die with a level up if you are too low of a level however), but also if you are 1HKOing everything on that list it beats it ALL out. This is important. The clustering on both maps is pretty okay as well.

This is a game entirely about having multiple characters due to the very interesting class system. The funny thing is you say you’d faster hit 100 but that’snot the case because you also say people ‘do Tenet Garden to 60 in an hour or less’, Cafrisun takes roughly 30 minutes to get and you do NOT have to stay there the whole time, that would be stupid and why you think anyone would do that is beyond me, we live in an age where anyone can put a timer on their phone or find one on the web or their PC, or use a clock. You grab a quest there, run down to that area where Cafrisun spawns, kill the stuff a bit to complete the quest, if he is there you’re in luck, kill it, channel jump. That’s 2 pieces, if you’re VERY unlucky 1 same piece twice. Put a timer on, continue leveling but don’t turn in that ONE quest. (Even if you do the statue is right there), come back in 28-29 minutes, wait for that 30 minute timer to come off and kill it again. You don’t even have to kill it by yourself you just need to hit it really! With blessing that extra damage is insane, given your earlier numbers about ‘60 in an hour or less’ you surely counted blessing there, so you’re aware of how strong it is, well it scales that blessing and while grinding this is INSANE, it can make the difference between killing and Overkill 255% (Extra EXP!).

Almost all of these will be killed with one level up, if you grabbed a few cards from doing a quest or two on your way here, which again most of those are not very out of your way
you will kill all of them with level up and gain at least a level each time. This will prep you for the level you need for your level ups to kill swathes of mobs at Tenet Garden

Don’t make a guide if you don’t know enough, sorry but that’s just the hard truth, if you’re not willing to put in the work to find out what’s the best and test it a few times, your guide isn’t going to be worth anything, because you didn’t put in the leg work. If this was beta or a fresh release you might be able to get away with something like that and it still actually be useful to someone, but this far into a game’s life cycle people who look up a leveling guide expect the leg work to be done and rightfully so, you have to earn that view, upvote and/or subscribe.

If take the time to scour one of the easy maps while getting a quest or two done (There are very VERY free exp quests and you should be pointing them out), I can easily skip a few more levels either here or in Tenet Garden by positioning my level up to take out large amounts of mobs.

This is actually a very important strategy prior to level 100 that can shave minutes off of your grind per level.

The only downside to Nevellet 1F/2F over Tenet Garden oddly enough is this that you left out, the abuse of your level up to kill a huge chunk of mobs.

Out of curiosity, do you suggest a different place than Royal Mausoleum Lodge to farm 80-110, if I want to keep my runs instead of doing dgn 80?

Hey, any opinions on a decent grind spot from 180 - 200?

Verkti Square, Inner Enceite District, Alemeth Forest

Tenet Church 2F population compared to Tenet Garden is significantly lower, that’s why I never put it in my guide. I even tried leveling there several times, once with friends and everyone agreed that it was better at Tenet Garden.

Nevellet Quarry looks interesting, I’ll check it out. 1 issue is that it’s on Orsha side, most players now doesn’t even know anything about Orsha since it’s removed as a starting location, but it is quite close. Anyway, I’ll check that first.

Ah, sorry, forgot to mention that my guides are for new users who struggle to level up. I’m pretty much sure experienced user doesn’t need my guides to level another char to the max. What I’m focusing atm, is making a simple way for new player to hit 300+ without those exp cards from Vaivora.

Yeah, I know about that group of mobs, but what’s after you kill them? They don’t spawn that fast as in Tenet Garden. I used to kill these mobs wave while going to Tenet Garden. It’s really nothing special.

For Tenet Garden you don’t need to prepare you level, people manage to kill everything with pardoner buffs even at lvl 10, after that you’ll quickly hit lv 30+ which is more than enough to be ready for Tenet Garden.

Tenet 2F population is not significantly lower. Tenet Garden you are staying in one place and running around that circle. Tenet 2F used to be the same, but now instead you will run between 3 rooms. Primarily you will be on the right side killing Egnomes, when it thins you will head to the room prior to it (unless you are primarily using ground spells like a pyromancer), ten you will head to the far left clearing there.

Head back and repeat.

A new user needs the little tricks, most of the stuff here is something a new user would do if they didn’t know about any of the little tricks they might not have done, and some are left out that a new user could semi-easily find out on their own, but someone who would refer to youtube on a guide might overlook, like being able to level up very quickly using the damage from leveling up to kill large groups of mobs.

The whole point is to jump from one to the next. If you rush to Tenet Garden you will have a bad time getting there too early. At 20 levels EXP decays, so getting there before 28 (It’s a 48 zone) is a mistake as you are getting less exp AND your level up bonus won’t kill them all, at most it will aggro them, but considering that’s AFTER a knock back that’s a demerit.

48-40=8, if you rushed there at lvl8 you would get 0 experience. If you got there before 28, you would be getting losing the mass exp of AoE from level up. You would be getting more PER hit if you hit one, but that also means traveling and that early you don’t have any good enough AoE compared to the full screen of leveling up. You can just go test this yourself it’s very quick. And changing channels back and forth for the Nefritas levels is what works.

  • Level up via card kills everything giving you a few levels
  • Change to channel 2
  • Level up via another card kills everything giving you a few levels
  • Change back to channel 1
This will get you to Lvl 28 in no time, where you can go to Tenet after, most likely you’ll only need to do it those 2 times to get there.

It’s really not hard to test and see how good Exp from Quests is vs grinding, and there are quite a few quests especially there that are very optimal to do and will give you the cards needed to do exactly this making them even more optimal. Doing this in Tenet Garden after 28 is even better!

Not my vid, but according to it, it’s much more faster just to get to Tenet Garden at level 1 and start killing things.

Dude why so much hate on OP’s guide, why would u want 100% efficiency in some BS low level grinding?

U can reach level 100 so easily it doesnt really matter if u quest or whatever. Guide is pretty straight forward and helps a lot overall.

If u want to break some leveling records good luck

PS: the edit and overall feedback is always nice, but pointing out nothing but negativity is so not needed.

Exp per hp when u have blessing wtf? Why? Lol

As I stated that becomes Exp/Mob and Density that matters instead, which is where those other maps can shine much more. That was just one of the points out of the many I originally made, it’s what he decided to respond back to, 'tis all. The point is if you’re going to make a guide for something you should indeed be doing some legwork and not having no knowledge of the other side of leveling (Orsha) and the benefits or demerits of it. Even a cursory google would have led to a leveling guide he could have followed that would have given this information, which he could have used to make his own guide good. If you bother to post something as blatant advertising directly on the forums a certain level of quality is expected, especially when it’s a ‘guide’, that certain level being actually knowing what you’re making a guide about.

He’s losing out quite a bit before lvl 28 here, maybe a level or so as his level up is only gaining him a wave after the second time.

The point is, it is faster if you are walking past it even fi you use it only once, not twice.

On top of that as seen in his video he demonstrates the best part of Tenet Garden or 2F leveling which is using your level up to kill a large amount of mobs, this was left out of your guide and is largely what makes these areas SO good.
