Level difference = damage penalty in PvP?

This is not me, I don’t play Korean version, but a bunch of my fellows do.

They have seen some ridiculous number in PvP due to level difference. Notably, when you see a character name in orange (meaning 10+ level above you), then you deal much reduced damage to him/her (and dodged or blocked as well) and he/she deal a ridiculous amount of damage to you, most of the time 1-shotting you.

See 1:43 and 2:51 in this clip where this musketeer deal 13k+ damage (1 shoting opponent, revive save them)

Could we please have some confirmation on this issue, because this is blatantly bad design in PvP.

for what I think I remember, level and other stuff get standardized on arena pvp :\

No a ridiculous amount of damage that you mention come from stronger skill in higher rank class alone. Every one got same damage penalty (if not he will deal or receive much higher damage).

That’s why I’m asking for confirmation. Like I said I don’t play, and my fellows are complaining

He has quite good gears, but when facing against players with similar gears but higher level, his damage is reduced, dodged or blocked by a great margin, while the other just 1-2 shotting him.

Also, no matter how strong the skill is, it should not one shot people in PvP, that is still blatantly bad design

Yep pvp is not balance some class away be superior. Currently the only skill that they balanced for pvp is Priest’s revive.
edit and Status effect froze duration

Don’t forget that Frost Pillar’s duration is reduced to half in arena.

I thought the levels and stats were standardised?

That’s what they said, whether or not it is implemented, beat me

Ahhh I see, well I guess we’ll just have to wait and see on the changes…
