Tree of Savior Forum

Let's try to keep the racism and the xenophobia off the community, please

Hi guys, I know many of you will think this is not a problem at all, but as a brazilian I am deeply disappointed at the TOS community posture towards foreigners (specially the latin americans), it really cuts a great part of the fun of the game, since communication and interacting with others players are an essential part of a MMORPG, it really bothers you after reading mean and rude comments for days.

Now I know most of the brazilians just have a certain kind of standard posture on online games, but please note that just because someone are speaking in portuguese with another player it doesn’t give the right to call them names or yell “GO BACK TO WHERE YOU BELONG, YOU GUYS ARE A PLAGUE TO THIS SERVER”, not everyone has a bad behavior, and trust me, if you ask at least one latin american player they’ll have read something like this at least once.

Let’s try to keep the community friendly guys, if the players develop a toxic community the experience in general will be greatly worsened .

(Also, please don’t argue that we just have to move to the latin american server to end this, this problem is not our fault and we are not the ones who need to change)

Thanks for understanding guys, I just really needed to say something about it, let’s make a great community, we’ll be interacting with each other for a month anyway (: (now not so much since most of the latin american players will move to the new server).

Just one thing they need to fix is the chat system itself. Bl

If the EXE to start my game literally didn’t say, “Tree of Savior (English Ver.)”, you may have had a point about a bunch of people spamming the chat in Portuguese being tolerable and acceptable.

Good luck with that on a free to play game.

This just does not make sense, I expressly said not every latin american player have a bad behavior in-game, also this is NOT a good reason to start bashing on people who are just chatting on the normal chat. Think of it as if you guys were forced to play on the korean server and they bullied you guys even though you did nothing wrong.

It won’t be easy but it’s not impossible, If we don’t talk about it, it’ll definitely not change.

The only toxic ones I’ve seen in the last 2 days are the BRs spamming their “HUEHUEHUEs” like hell in shout chat.

If I was on a Korean server I wouldn’t be spamming global chat in English and instead look on forums to find the English community, making mine and other English player’s existence essentially unknown.

But apparently that’s not possible for Brazilian players, either out of ignorance or sheer stupidity.

I’m not going over it again, if you want to have a reason to bully other players even though they did nothing is up to you. As I said before, not every brazilian player is a toxic player, the only reason to treat every single one of them badly is purely because you want to do so, don’t try to put the fault on us.

You are a clear example of someone who just call us names like monkeys, you are not worth my time dude, good luck being a racist, but expect the consequences of it.

It’s really disheartening to see this happen, even as someone from NA. Perhaps I’ve been lucky, but I’ve never run into a Brazilian (or otherwise) that was inherently mean spirited. I met someone earlier who was not a native speaker. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to help him, but he was asking in english and even thanked me. I have more a problem with the people spamming curses and cruelty at each other.

Its sad to see humans fighting for superiority when in fact they are equals in both their earthly and spiritual states. They think their insults as a way to “help” the community feeding themselves with pride as they puff their chest to the public with their so called “superiority” against all of those who they find unworthy of their presence. Its funny that what they’re doing is actually lagging the server and they blame BR for the lag; quite ironic if you ask me.

I could use a world with less loud dumb opinionated people, but even the dragon ball probably can’t fix this.

This right here, every time I have ever played on a foreign company’s server I have not once spoken in English in their global chat because to me, and most people, it is inconsiderate and rude.

Do you think it’s fine to talk in native languages?
Should everyone does that too?
It’s not okay for me to talk in native languages in International chat rooms.
IF YOU THINK IT"S FINE.
SO I WILL TALK IN MY NATIVE LANGUAGE TOO.

If you’re in-game turn off shout at the top and stick to normal/party chat.

If you’re on the forums, avoid the official forums and go for more dedicated forums like TosBase and Tosgame.

Theres really no way to stop these idiots but to ignore them. Don’t read what they have to say because honestly its not worth your time. You’ll end up confused and headaches.

If the other person or group that speak the same language I don’t see why not, once you are trying to communicate with these people and they alone, otherwise they will just not understand it, I don’t see why this is such a big deal, people are getting offended because they can’t understand something that was not directed towards them and so they treat others like garbage. It’s just another language dude, respect it, you’re not superior in any way because you speak english. If the foreigners won’t be able to communicate with the rest of the players it’s their problem, not yours.

Using myself as an example I could totally start this dialogue in portuguese, but this time I want everyone to understand what I’m saying, and that’s MY problem.

Yes Yes Tell Others to Respect, but don’t respect the others.
Nice

The problem with muting and ignoring these people is that you’re only avoiding the problem, not solving it, and that’s bad for the community in general. We are currently playing this CBT because we wanted to experience it, but algo because we want it to be good, and in any game of this genre a bad community directly affects the quality of the game itself, all the time you put into it feels worthless. I am just trying to make the experience of every player equal, and just that alone will greatly improve the position of the community by itself.

I don’t understand where I disrespected others in any way possible.
