Let's talk about Multi-Client [With support response]

1- What do you think about it?
2- If you have more than one computer, is the multi-client allowed?
3- How can they find out if you are not using the same PC?
4- Could someone else in your network possibly cause a possible ban on your account?

I know that they have no tools to figure out (maybe by mac address)

The info the client send is not only your external IP, it would also include your internal IP, machine name (network name) and some other pertinent network status. Otherwise Cafes would be in trouble, in KR they have special rewards for some games that are ran in a Cafe franchise or something similar.

But Steam don’t allow you to run more than 1 client, there is a trick to do that, but even so, you can earn a nice ban since it will show the same internal ip address.
But this don’t hold truth for VMs, but then again, i think the client detect when it is being ran in a VM and return an error.

In all honesty, i prefer the way it is as of now. Less chance for abuse.

I think the error is due to DirectX support of VMs.
But the question is they allowed the same person playing the game on different PCs at the same time

It is possible to configure so that the VM receives an IP from your router.

Not sure if VMWare can solve that, not sure their dev status on that part, same for Parallels.

They can’t monitor that, unless they have a spy code that turn on the user webcam on both machines to see if it is the same face lol. But i think that is a bit extreme.

It´s possible, actually, if i am not mistaken, the default setting already do that.

No please, no this again. In many RO servers this was/is a real issue. People in pre-renewal is capable of soloing Morroc by their self login like 8 chars at one time (really, one asura hit with gosspel, lex, etc). Myself become addict to have my personal priest, professor and linker follow me all the time. I prefer just one account, i think is healthy

we cannot discuss how to make it possible in official forum.

but we can group together in discord n share knowledge among ourself, its called gitgud.

u r allow to do anything u can think of to improve your gameplay

but remember, imc is the owner, they just allow u to play on their game

if anytime they dont like u, bam, u r banned just like that and they owe u no explaination.

so, please abuse vm-multiclient as much as u can, until they decide to catch people, much like the alt-guild-gvg-feeding abuse

tldr, gitgud and dont get caught, huehuehue

IMC wont do anything about it, or I should say they cant. Multiclient is only detectable if they check your IP. However there is always the possibility of the computers are owned and controlled by different players. They can suspect a player abusing multiclient, but they cant prove it. They can temporarily suspend an account and ask for identity verification but thats all they can do. What if the ‘player’ bought TP separately on each accounts? He’s definitely a legitimate player.

Usually, this is the main tool, they simply track your macadress.
While, if they were really worried about, no double login, they could add a command to prevent people from login in more than 1 character at once.
But, considering “pets” count as a character, it might be one reason as it wasn’t implemented this way.

it is impossible to track player through mac address if the player owns multiple computers physically. Each devices should have their unique mac addresses, so tracking mac address makes no sense. Multi login is not possible because the game requires steam id and steam doesn’t allow running multi instances of games. Sandbox multiple steam clients with different steam id to run the game sounds more possible. In this case mac address tracking works but why go through so much trouble to bypass steam on 1 computer when you can legally multi client using multiple cheap secondhand computers, and copies of hack/bot that cost like $15. Also fyi, the bot program seller sells his bot program by ‘per device’.

Not using mac address as a tracking device but, as a condition for disabling double login on the same account, since you can’t block by IP since internet cafes would be unplayable.

mac address can be spoofed, pointless.

i miss kore times where robot is free

ban all multiclient user.

Clearly not allowed. Any lame excuse/trick with the intent of running multiple clients should be treated as the same and punished accordingly.

Support can say whatever they want. Now only if they enforce it by issuing perm bans
