The point is, if your game is good enough to survive on its own merits, then you can just have a cash shop for cosmetics. Bad games need pay to win mechanics to exploit whales, because the base content is not good enough to stand on its own.
I always read pay to win, but I wanna know âto win at whatâ?
To âwinâ meaning getting rank 1 in missionsâŚ?
To âwinâ meaning being able to go ET/SolâŚ?
To âwinâ meaning top ranks in TBLâŚ?
To âwinâ meaning 1 - hitting everything in PvEâŚ?
Iâm not against anyoneâs opinion⌠Itâs just that âwinningâ is very, very subjective.
And there is nothing to really âwinâ in this game (as how it seems to be designed). People can enjoy most content playing support class. Oh wait, people donât like being support in almost any type of game.
How about giving us new content to do once we reach 330? Surely that would entice more people to play and give money rather than giving us nothing and only pay 2 win updates.
The only point in playing ToS now - getting fun from anything you still can get fun from. There is no real competitive factor in ToS to tryhard, so you just having fun. 'Cause you know, itâs what games are for. To have fun.
If you donât have fun from playing ToS -> you quit. Itâs simple.
