"Lethargy: Additional Damage" attribute not applying to all hit type skills

Date and Time : 09/08/2015

Game Control Mode (Keyboard/Joypad/Mouse) : Keyboard

Where it happened (which map, which quest, which npc, etc) : All monsters (tested on Mallardu and Seedmia in Tenet Garden)

Bug Description :
Applying lethargy to a monster (with the attribute to make hit type attacks do 20% more attribute level) is only working for earthquake. It does not work for energy bolt or fireball (from Pyro).

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Get the “Lethargy: Additional Damage” attribute
  2. Attack a monster with the Fireball, Energy Bolt or any other hit type skills except earthquake and take note of the damage
  3. Apply lethargy to the same type of monster
  4. Attack with the same skill - the damage is not affected by lethargy

I guess an obvious question here is, what is a hit type skill? Is this an actual thing or just a bad translation?
It doesn’t work on auto-attacks from a wizard with staff/rod and it doesn’t work on any other skill than earthquake that I’ve managed to test so far.

I thought the “hit type skill” might have referred to the banners at the top left of the skills in the skills window but I have since been informed that those are just badly worded and probably mean that skills is “hot” or “popular” with other people playing the same class.
There’s no information on the earthquake skill to indicate that it’s a hit type skill other than that banner.

Hit should be the international translation for Impact/Blunt-type attacks.
A Hammer does Hit-type damage for example.

Not sure if that skill refers to that though.

Then earthquake should probably have a description on it saying it does blunt damage if that’s the case.

in kcbt it’s called ‘strike’ type damage. Wizard staff and maces/hammers have strike type damage.

Most wiz skill are hit / strike type damage I think. So this indeed is a bug.

Oh, I wasn’t the only one who tested this?

I leveled the skill up to 5 and used my staff’s melee strike attack (using the ‘c’ key). I only gained +5 damage instead getting double! It makes sense that magic attacks aren’t buffed with lethargy (it’s the fourth damage type!), but why would earthquake gain damage? Are you sure you tested it right?

Either way, attribute is seriously bugged.

Yep it doubled the damage of earthquake. I tested with a second person too and his earthquake also worked with his lethargy attribute.

You can see what we tested on in the where it happened section.
