I mean just look at all of this! This is so pretty! I’m sorry for the kind of useless topic, but this is BY FAR the best forum design I’ve seen in a while. Everything I need to do has easy access! There’s a window above my topic reading what I’m writing and telling me similar topics to avoid double-posting! I want to congratulate someone for this, how do I do that?
For your information, this forum engine is called Discourse. I agree, I like it too. I particularly like how the forum is dynamic and refresh itself in real time.
Ohhh sweet! Thanks for the info! Yeah! I love how it’s so dynamic and how it suggest topics that I may like aswell!
I like most of the features but the design is just meh. Someone went too far on the simplicity route.
Agreed. Never used this format before but it’s got lots of great features and easy to use so far.
Well, it does indeed look pretty, but I think it will take me a bit of time to get used to it all.
I don’t get the pretty part. It’s just a white background with text and a few lines…that’s all.
@Aisem What’s so confusing with this forum ?
@Shiro I agree with the design, but I like that it feels more like a giant messenger than a real forum. I don’t know, I think I enjoy simplicity.
@MementoMori Oh nothing in particular, I just got used to the more common forum format is all.
@Shiro Simplicity is beauty as they say… plus look at how neatly everything’s arranged here
@MementoMori @Aisem Nothing against simplicity. It’s just that when people say “pretty” or “beautiful” I think in eye-candy everywhere. Can’t see none so far.
I think there should be some tutorials about how to post images, links, videos, use quotes, spoilers, etc.
I’m so suck and need more guides. The current FAQ provided by IMCGames doesn’t really help much.
Yea! It looks very pretty and simple <3
Yesterday I was confused on how to use it, now I learned and I appreciate it…
@Erokhi There are few tutorials on the official Discourse forum.
You can also try to click on the icons above the textbox when you answer, they will guide you to insert images / videos / etc.

Looks like the Gmail UI on my tablet
the only thing I miss is the downvote from reddit, but maybe its better not to have it
I like it this way. If there’s someone who posted an appropriate content which break the rules, we can just simply flag the post or report to the admins themselves.
No downvote means everyone will appreaciate each other’s opinion, no matter how bad the opinion is and build a friendly and healthy discussion.
Ye this composition is just awesome. Easy and clean. Just add some shoutbox so let the hype spam flow.
I would appreciate a better set of emotes, particularly this kind of “onion” gifs ->

Glad we can use animate gifs, images and videos thou.
beeing able to use gifs, is already actually all we need, now we just need a script to paste them automatically into the textbox , when clicking on the emote
