Legality of multiboxing, anyone knows?

Long story short: I want a pardoner, but leveling a cleric is boring as hell. I was thinking of starting a new account and just leech a cleric all the way to pardoner using the other account with something like a ranger to ease the process, just let the cleric sit down on some random corner of the map while I grind with the ranger, I’m the type of person that finds peace in grinding =].

The thing is, IDK if this is entirely legal or not. I alredy installed Sandboxie and as far as I can see I can log my 2 steam accounts fine with no problem, the real deal would be if IMC is against it or not. Can anyone offer some insight?

Just to clarify: No macros, no bots, a lot of ALT+TAB to level 2 accounts at the same time.

TL;DR Is it legal to multibot if I control both accounts on the same PC?

I didnt see anything saying otherwise in the terms of service page…

Even tho, that’s not quite what I had in mind. In the video they’re clearly using bots or something like that. All those characters are moving in almost perfect synchrony.

What I’m asking is if I can just let my cleric sit in a sefe spot inside tenet church (for example) and just grind with the ranger without moving the cleric at all using a program to let me run 2 steam accounts simultaneously in the same PC

You have to be in the same screen distance to get the xp.

IMC has never said you can or can not multibox.

AFAIK, nobody has had any sanctions against their account for doing it either.

Unless someone from IMC gives a direct answer, you kind of just have to do it and hope you don’t get banned. The rules regarding what you can and cannot do, and the punishments associated for rule-breaking are mostly unknown.

Think of it like a hidden quest, you just have to try it and see what the result is. Then share your findings with the rest of the forums so we know if it is against the rules or not. :grinning:

There is a program that allows Multiboxing, World of Warcraft even allows you to do that, if you pay for the license of all accounts.
But I believe you should wait until a moderator appears (if it happens) to say something about that.
