So. Here’s the deal. Almost all leather items give dex and evasion plus the attribute of leather armor, but plate give stamina which is good for monks too. What do you guys thinks is better?
Plate always. +10 stamina is 5 double punches.
What does the Stamina? There are things / sets of leather that give bonus to Stamina. It all depends on the build. If you build through the dex - the leather, if after str - plate.

So if you go this plate set, you get a total of +20 stamina, that’s 10 double punches. We’re just talking about set in general not specific items. Set wise we want plate as Monk more than leather. Even as a DEX build, as a Monk, more double punches is always good.
Stamina is only an issue if your ONLY attack skill is double punch.
If you have paladin smite or dievdirbys carve attack you can fit those skills in your rotation and not have to spam double punch as much (effectively not losing as much stamina).
I’m using leather set on DEX build with the default 25 stamina (didn’t even bother doing hidden quests) and with both carve attack and smite I only use double punch when those two skills are both on cooldown. I do run out of stamina but the stamina pots just make up for it perfectly.
Ah true, as a Priest3 all the attack skill I have will be Monk’s so it’s a no-brainer for me

The ones you showed have no stamina set bonuses, just individual item stamina bonuses, especially on the boots.
Again, unfortunately we’re talking about set bonuses not individual items.
For individual items combined with attribute set bonus, even with Riena Plate Armor and Plate Set I’d have gotten more stamina (10 from armor+10 from set bonus due to maxed attribute) and defense than any of the leather sets you listed. In the first place, if we talk about individual items, we shouldn’t bother talking about set bonus because you can mix and match as needed. Who cares about attribute set bonus if you have something like Cafrisun set which isn’t mimicable?
Let’s not forget that the items you listed aren’t exactly items for commonfolk due to world boss drops, while Riena is quest reward. (Hey is Virtov armor even in the game? Or is it just tosbase data that doesn’t exist in our tos?)
