Late game scaling and obsolete skills?

Hello,

I did some research around and it seems to me that some of the skills are utterly useless as soon as you hit higher level.
Now I understand that some of the skills, mostly attack ones are meant to be there just a filler, until you unlock higher ranks, but is there any point in taking lv 15 Blessing or lv 10 Sacrament for that extra flat damage? To me it feels like a huge waste of points, considering some of the classes do 32k damage crits on higher level and +100 damage on top of that doesn’t seam much?

Secondary question, I’m looking at Peltasta, is +35 pdef from Guardiand and +250 block from High Guard considered a lot once you hit level 500, or will this net some absurdly low numbers and I’m better of investing my points somewhere else?

But you can only use your skill points on the same class. Example, Swordsman skill points you can use it on higher circles but if you pick Highlander and still have extra points in swordsman, you cant use it on Highlander skills. You will have no choice on the matter.

I understand that, but let’s say for example that Blessing and Sacrament are completely and utterly useless later on, in that case I would just take 3 circles of Cleric, instead of even going for Priest.

I think it is pre-mature to base on the current stats / level.
Wait until class balance when closer to Open Beta.

Some skills also have a % scaling when you level up attributes. something to take into consideration when getting skills.

All skills should scale with attributes or %stats (%attack, %mattack and so on) in order to become balanced and useful on all levels, period.

While I agree some form of scalling would be useful, consider this: A level 10 blessing will add 150 damage to each hit for 100 hits. Surely, 150 damage is not a lot when we are talking about a singe nuke, but for skills similar to cure bonus damage is applied to each ‘tick’. If someone is able to dish out 100 hits during the 45s duration, in terms of raw DPS you get 15k damage per cast, per affected party member - not bad for a C2 skill.
