Last chance to reset tomorrow! What is/are your final build(s)/thought(s)?

Inspired by @nightrain_scy’s thread which I accidentally hijacked (sorry).

Here are mine:

  1. Cle2 - Pri3 - Chap - Ora1 - Inqu (no change)
  2. Cle2 - Pri1 - Sad2 - Dru3 (most enjoyable Sadhu build thanks to @Wooshin)
  3. Arc2 - Qua3 - Fal3 (always wanted this since I saw that Korean YT channel)
  4. Cle2 - Pri3 - Chap - Miko - Inqu (duplicate of # 1 but with Miko as filler)
  5. Swo3 - Hig1 - Bar1 - Dop3 (meta, now wearing +11 Gale, bye bye Fencer)
  6. Cle2 - Pri1 - Kri1 - Par1 - Kanu - Pla2 (effective soloist char despite being a Daino-scroll slave)
  7. Wiz1 - Pyr1 - Lin1 - Tha3 - War1 - Ench (can solo somewhat, buffs for a f*ckton of attack and magic attack) - changed to Wiz1-Py1-Lin2-Tha2-War1-Ench (I reviewed it and I rarely get partied with other casters).
  8. Arc2 - Qua3 - Fal3 (can still change tomorrow)
  9. Swo1 - Pel3 - Squ3 - Murm (friendly no attribute Squire for OCD peeps)

I’m pasting from Nekorin’s thread I posted earlier:

I left most of my low-mid level alts in reset state, the higher ones:

  • My old Bokor 3 > Miko > PD2 will stay as it was, I only reset the skills to readjust some stuff.
  • I have another Cleric at R8 that I’m finishing a test today and will leave in reset state too, I’m thinking in go Monk with it but with my latency seem kind of a waste lol.
  • Changed my old Chrono Enchanter to Linker 2 > Thauma 2 > FF 2, it’s fun to farm on this when Linker’s JP don’t bug (sometimes it unlink in the first hit and stay like that till I change ch or map/lrelog).
  • Put my old QS3 > Wugu 2 > Cannon 2 to Ranger 3 > Appraiser > Rogue 2 > Hacka, just need a good xbow and some more green gems.
  • Changed my old messed up Sorc to Alch 3.
  • And a mid char I have will be Cryo 3 > Sorc 2 > RC.

Now to wait for R9, when it hit, it will open a whole new world of builds.

(I only have 1 character)

Before:

Cleric C2 > Krivis C3 > Miko > Priest > Taoist

After:

Cleric C2 > Priest C3 > Chaplain > PD2

Since Krivis-Taoist is dead had no choice but to change it :frowning: though I’m liking this one so far, recasting about 7 buffs pretty often it’s kinda tiring but I got used to it.

I’d have gone for Cleric C2 > Priest C3 > Miko > PD/Oracle > Taoist for a more party centric build but since I play alone most of the time I had to go with the Chaplain variant instead (got no friends to play with :frowning:).

1.SW3HOP3Cor1Murmillo (love the crt and block from finestra and syncho thrusting out damaging rank8 skills)
2.W1Cryo3Thauma2WL2 (a pvp build that i thought of that wouldnt be meta)
3.A1Ranger3Rouge3Hacka (fun to play with but not really good if you compare it to other archer builds,just hoping that hacka2 would add better skills)
4.W2Linker2Thauma2FF2 (just for solo faming)

as you can see, i would rather suffer than play a meta build lol

It’s mostly just Divine Might (before the two buffs) -> Blessing + Aspergillum (Lv6 makes it have the same duration as Blessing) that needs consistent upkeep. You’d mostly expect people to buy their own Sacrament (you should as well).

Lv5+1 Last Rites is a cast and forget type of deal (you’ll rarely rebuff this in one run unless you’re doing grind parties or the party is weak).

If you didn’t get Healing Factor to at least Lv8 (Lv9 under Divine Might), you’d have to worry about it way too often. Getting it to 8+1 will also make it 60s, giving you a definite window on when to rebuff everything.

Bloodletting is purely situational, at Lv5+1 it’s also 60s, in line with the rest.

Daino (from a scroll) is another thing. People rarely have these though.

2-Wiz-cryo3-chrono3-sage (Support Wiz Nothing special)
3-Wiz2-link2-thaum2-ff2(Farmer wiz… NOTHING SPECIAL!!!)
4-Arch2-QS3-Falc3 (Dps/support archer again nothing really special)
5-Wiz-Pyro3-Thaum2-RC-Enchanter My favorite wierd build (Chaplain rip off mage with giant jump aoe attack+ enchant fire + enchant lighting + thaum buff + toyhammer. Work REALLY well, blessing from pardoner is lost after 5 min of jumping into pack of mob … Work really well with a chaplain to get 5 damage line… Dainos scroll are kinda expensif and can be costy with cafrisum armor, transpose then giant then cancel transpose leave you with 40k+ hp)
6-Wiz-Cryo3-Thaum3-RC (Have you seen the new shrink body ? +120% damage (220% in total) energy bolt on sleep target doing 20k !
7+ Not really decided

Tips* Buff like thaum and enchant fire scale with INT/SPR (Except swell brain that scale only with SPR, You can buff up with equipment that give you the most bonus and then switch back to whatever you want to use.)
The practo purple hammer is really good for that giving around 200 bonus in every buff. There also an addon to quickly change equipment with a command (You can type the said command in the macro quick chat and use it with a quick shift+1-2-3…-8

I like casting my own Sacrament because since I’m full SPR and I’m aiming to get as much SPR as I can on gear like the HG gear that gives SPR and someday (hopefully this year insert dead popolion image here) Skullsmasher or Solmiki Mace (sometimes the bonus is higher than the ones from Shops).

I also often find myself not attacking mobs while questing so the timer on the pardoner buff goes doing without making much use of the buff

I’m also a cheap ass guy so I can save money because you know, stuff in this game is hella expensive for a player like me with no farmer and only 1 char (Well technically not only 1 char but a lvl 129 wiz and 66 swordie so that doesn’t count)

Go Viena Mace first, it’ll do you wonders (despite not having SPR).

Oh, you go in groups then. Your build is crazy OP by itself that you’ll breeze through everything even with a +5 Five Hammer (Lv5/6 Reds), the old meta weapon. :smiley:

@Wurmheart what’s the math on Sacrament? Isn’t it scaling pathetically at Lv10/11 under one’s own SPR?

(nyahaha, I know you’re excellent at giving the breakdowns for these)

Not groups, I go solo but when I’m questing (once I actually unlock more quests that is), most of the quests are about gathering, collecting, going X or Y and mobs aren’t aggresive in most of them so it’s all a cakewalk until I actually need to fight which is when I use sacrament.

With just lvl 1 Sacrament it’s giving me about 360 Holy Attack I think it was with 360-ish SPR (can’t login into game to say proper numbers), considering the base holy dmg of Sacrament is 12 at lvl 1 I think that’s pretty good, together with Last Rites I end up with almost 800 Holy Attack if not more.

I just didn’t want you to end up hating the class because of buff maintenance.

Experiment quickly! Having PD1 or PD2 is enough for you to drop all other healing sources because Healing Factor is OP… if it’s just yourself we’re talking about. From what I’ve heard Diev3 is a dedicated support now (barely-owl-based). You have 1 last chance to change it after 12NN later GMT +8 (maintenance starts at 13:00).

I played Ragnarok Online where I often played as a High Priest and in Battlegrounds I had to constantly rebuff my party of 15 people with buffs that lasted 5 mins or less (mind you they were single target buffs the important ones ;-; ) but they could get dispelled in the middle of a GvG so yeah, kinda used to this stuff, I guess (?)

It’s not so bad though, granted I’d love to have them last atleast 10 min some of them like Blessing but it’s alright, like you said the important thing is casting Blessing and Aspergillum with Divine Might since Healing Factor, Bloodletting and Revive are very situational.

i’m kinda fubared on “final” builds since i’ve been away on vacation the last two weeks but luckily made it back just in time to get this final day of resets for all my chars(3 archers, 2 wizz and 1 of each from the rest).

so basically i gotta take it very slow since there are no takebacksies and just gotta research what people have found to work.

Well, since I only have one high level character at all;

Sw Pelt Barb3 Fencer3 -> Sw3 Barb Corsair3 Nobi

That is, after using every single daily reset to figure out all of swordie’s skill modifiers. And I still missed out on Dragoon2 for double checking Serpentine attribute, as well as templar’s Mortal Blow (likely doesn’t have anything special). FeelsBadMan.

Other than that I suppose I do have 2 characters that I simply decided on a build for post-rebalance and used stat pot / skill pot on;

Archer Ranger3 Appraiser SR3
Wiz Cryo3 Ele3 RC

Cleric 3 > Sadhu 3 > PD2 (was a DievMikoPD before)

Archer 2 > QS3 > Falconer 3 (no changes)

Cryo 3 > Psycho > Alchemist 3 (the original idea was going Wiz3 > Ele 3 > Warlock 2, decided to change to something I don’t need to spend too much gearing because my focus are the Falconer and the PD)

Highlander 3 > Squire 3 > Shinobi (was Pelt 3 > Squire 3 > Murmillo)

Archer 2 > Ranger 3 > SR3 (new character on the free slot we got, gonna be mostly a DG140 farm slave)

I rerolled all my clerics into either PD2 or Sadhu3 (and one which is both).

Screw being (full) support cleric.

Still a solid build from what I’ve gathered. If anything it’ll farm dungeons for you.

I’m tempted to make one honestly, but I couldn’t let go of my Squire3 because I’m probably the only one in town without the attribute enabled (repair and forget / no uneven repairs / no OCD triggered).

Had this before but I got too annoyed at just how many skills I had to keep track of and throw out. :stuck_out_tongue: I guess we went the opposite direction of each other.

Should’ve never existed in the first place. :persevere: The idea was borne of old Ragnarok players wanting to fit that into ToS (not the same game). Also, they want an excuse to be as least geared (bordering on naked) as possible because “I’m a full support build, duh!”.
