Langort Blocking Attribute not working

Date and Time :11/04/2016

Game Control Mode (Keyboard/Joypad/Mouse) : Mouse and Keyboard

Where it happened (which map, which quest, which npc, etc) : All

Bug Description :
Skill LANGORT, Attribute Langort Blocking, using langort never get block bonus and never silence enemy after successful block
The attribute is ON

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Get Pelt C3
  2. Lern Langort
  3. Lern Attribute Langort Blocking
  4. Use it and see no change at block stats or status effect

Screenshots / Video :

I second this observation as well…

tested this on Mauseleum 1F and 2F,
Langort lvl 5, Langort Blocking lvl 2.
sample size of approximately 80 tries, I’ve tried various combinations:

  • before, after, and during being hit
  • with magic attacks and physical attacks
  • single enemy and multiple enemies.
  • With and without high guard (adding to block stat)

I have not observed a single block.

Edit: er_abrantes has seen blocks, and has witnessed the silence proc. However, he is a pure CON peltasa build. perhaps 50 (base)+250 (high-guard) block in a lvl 85 area is not enough to proc blocks.

Check Character numbers when use Langort, block number never move…unlike high guard, when you use high guard block number (see char stats page) go high

Im a CON Pelt and block a tons of attacks and no one get silenced after use langort.

Edit: Tomorrow i will do a video

Video:
(Showing block number never move when using langort)

Bump!

If there are some Pelt C3 out there, can you check this?

thx!

I’ve been thinking about it… maybe it’s like…

while using langort… If you block something (as you naturally do, when hit), then there’s an [attribute lvl] x 5% chance of silencing?

but you’re right. it’s counterintuitive that langort doesn’t actually do anything for block.

hey! i just test it

see it!

You need to use langort and get lucky and praise to the god of RNG to get just in that moment a block

anyway, tooltip say it increase % block, and in stats i never see it.

I see… hmm… silence didn’t proc in that video right?

Thanks for sharing, though!
I think it probably won’t be terribly useful to me, since i’m currently sitting at 150 dex and 23 Con… my block is terribly low! lol.

no, silence proc in the last video, but only works if you just block an attack using langort

edit: see the mob template

I think the Silence proced as you can see in the mob debuff (deny attack)
