I am still salty that TOS did not implement a way to trade talt for gear like so many other MMOs which has different token drop from each tier of instance to guarantee some gear even if you are unlucky enough to roll nothing constantly.
Even if it was totally overpriced such as 3000 talts ,we would still be ok, but here, they didn’t do any research on modern mmo or western market preferences etc…
if item like virtov or lolopanther arent supposed to be tradable, atleast make it trade among own alts
also, remove entry limit for RNG thingy like virtov, not like RNG is not hard enough, theres still entry limit
woot~ TOS is so freaking casual~

HUE
listen here idiot, the fact you can sell these recipes means RMT users can get endgame gear with mommy’s credit card
try reading the thread before having an opinion
Where you have endgame stuff on 220lvl? Rank 7 will be the last rank in the game to the very end? You know I’d rather throw the old set on auction for a few million than to the NPC for a few thousand. Actually they can’t use “end game stuff” right? So what the problem?
All this rant and crappy posts don’t look on one - Did new Rank 8 end game stuff will be tradable? If now then where you have problem?
100% of everything in this game can be bought from RMT and/or afking for silver
ALL successful mmo’s have “raid gear” which can only be obtained from hard work, NOT from mommys credit card
anyone who disagrees is either retarded or doesnt care about RMT which KILLS the game due to imc’s server costs forcing the developer to increase more pay-to-win options just to break even
god sakes its almost like noone here has played a mmo before and knows about the rise and fall of a company
You only play WoW joe?
WoW isn’t the only game with Bind-on-Pickup mechanics (Rift, FFXIV, FFXI, etc)
I understand where he’s coming from. Making end-game gear obtainable through simply trading instead of being required to do encounters does take a lot out of the efforts of players who work hard to beat end-game bosses.
Thing about ToS is that most bosses are fairly brainless and easy, so I don’t feel like its a serious problem right this moment, but if IMC ever decides to implement extremely difficult encounters with a weekly limit or something like that, then yeah I think BoP and BoA for those bosses would be better than simply allowing the items to be sold, trivializing content.
Some people actually enjoy experiencing the content of the game, believe it or not. :V
the fact ET gears are tradable pretty much confirms all endgame content can be unlocked by afk farming silver
Rare drop + untradeable + limited chances has always been a stupid system, so removing the untradeable part of the equation is welcome. Other games, with their endgame raids, always drop gear, and the number of players involved means that, unless you’ve been farming for a while, it is useful gear that drops. ToS is the opposite in almost every way. Recipes aren’t guaranteed, and when you get one it is most likely the wrong one. And since it is untradeable, the wrong one is a useless one, wasting the time and money you spent obtaining it. Spending hours of time and millions of silver to not improve your character at all is a great way to burn people out.
I don’t have much of an opinion about ET gear being tradeable, with the new tower levels it doesn’t seem to me that big of a deal for lolopanther to be easier to acquire. But Virtov and Saalus gear either needed to become tradeable or have their drop rate increased massively, because the current system is untenable.
Simply not true. I don’t do RMT, but I’m glad for a chance to trade my Virtov doubles for the recipes I need! Got almost all Virtov recipes I don’t need at least once, but none of the ones I need!
ET gear isn’t end game gear any more in Korea, if I recall correctly. Neither is virtov or saalus
Players melting down bosses within minutes just by spamming skills is akin to a Heroic dungeon boss in WoW or other games with “hardmode” bosses.
They pale in comparison to Raid bosses with different phases and varying mechanics that require voice-coordination with a detailed plan just to take down said monster.
Do any of the encounters you mention require these things? Be completely honest.
ET gear is still endgame. There is no armor that is better at this time. Most of the R8 armors that were released are items that bridge the gap between Lolopanther users and non-Lolopanther users. Solmiki gear is better, but Solmiki Zone has not yet been released.
@dinwitt - Lolopanther gear becomes stupidly hard for anyone who has never set foot in Earth Tower before R8 release. The reasoning is because the Lv. 1 Earth Fragment resource, which you used to receive in abundance, was massively cut with the R8 patch. Previously the boss essence was the limiting factor, now with the exception of maybe the chest and weapon, the fragments are an issue.
So… Time to farm ET as much as we can!
I want item to be tradable.
My main is healer. I don’t need any equip from Saalus. But I’m doing it because I’m a healer and the party needs me.
If I found an item that I need to my alt, I have the right to trade it in Team Storage.
And I want to trade the items to my friends too (who joined with me in Saalus).
You all are speaking about drop in WoW.
In WoW you can trade the item even if is Bind on picked up for 1 hr (dun remmeber correctly) with the same member you have done the raid.
For me this is Tree of Solo, I play with friends and I can’t trade/gift items.
I agree with the ones saying this might not be the best idea… They should make most things tradeable, but the best things should only be tradeable through team storage.
