Ok that wasnt too bad, if your an old guy like me and still rocking a flip phone just click on your profile in steam > go to account details > edit contact info, and add a phone number.
It will let you add your flip or track phone number and just verify everything via a text message so no need to bother with a smart phone or downloading the app.
I double checked in game and my steam guard +5 box is now checked.

Then you won’t ever be able to log into Steam… It’s literally 2FA. You’ll get a notification every time you log into Steam that pushes to mobile.
