Small KToS patch, IMC is up to some weird things with these Special Creation Tickets. The game has its fun with experimenting class combinations, and then there are these tickets to push players into certain builds.
Selection are as follows:

Damn man
They first start with circle system with crazy amount of variation, hard to manage, madness
Then they continue with this 3 class system which more manageable but also kill variation
Now people just have to pick fix build instead

This game really should get another title
Some old system build variation was never meant to “it’s not supposed to be work”, if they are really the god of the game they could’ve found a way to make every variation possible work which add the fun to combining circle/classes
We have attribute, we had skill interaction, we even now has limiter and more
At this point their path make me think they are just lazy to manage every possibility may come in the future 


To my understanding. its a ticket that all users receive that allows them to create a new character with specified builds and the specific gearing catered to the build, but only for during KToS’s seasonal server period. A rather weird thing for them to make, to be honest. I assume its to allow new players to create characters without “making the wrong choice” since most of the builds are technically “meta” builds that are 1 patch behind along with a few weird builds or two, but who knows.
At least everyone can get a free Schwarzer Reiter-Enchanter-Thaumaturge field farmer now.
Having a fast way to create something that “just works” is a good idea, imho. New players (and sometimes even returning ones) wouldn’t have any idea of what to get, either way. This at least makes sure they have valid selections at their choice and they can even do solo contents where needed (especially considering that now healer classes do have some limited solo capability, at least should be enough for challenges and such).
Cause right now if people make fancy selections on their first characters - and they do, because they don’t know what they’re doing - they’re basically screwed. Given i’ve heard terrible stories of people throwing away their goddesses equipment boxes cause they didn’t want their item screen cluttered, and saw people coming back and quitting after their underequipped templar-peltasta-something couldn’t even do challenges since the damage was non.existant and that’s despite warning them about what they were doing, making the game as foolproof as possible for new players can only be good.
True, I do wonder if IMC will update the set builds every patch or leave them as is forever. From the builds used (or at least most of them, like what the heck is Highlander-Cataphract-Lancer and I never seen Omnyoji-Taoist-Elementalist used in WBR before, like does it use Overlord or Gabija set-up?), IMC basically picked the “meta” classes used in KToS’s WBR one major patch ago since the current KToS meta is updated to Luchadors and Rangers. If they use the meta as reference, it would make sense to at least update the builds every one or two major class changes so they don’t remain underpowered and obsolete (unless this is a one-off thing and never again after seasonal servers). Heck, we probably won’t get these tickets if IToS servers won’t get seasonal servers.
On a side note, the Swordsman bias is strong in this one
(5 Swordsman builds VS 2 Wizard, 2 Archer, 1 Cleric DPS, 1 Cleric Support and 2 Scout builds)
What if this meta build or a class in this build was nerfed or messed up?
This build might be meta but like any other old meta they break it by nerfing or over buff something else and new meta born
If it’s break there’s no meaning to follow up this strict build
Say now chrono is meta and chrono in that build match with the other two
Say when chrono nerfed (again) it’s gon be sucks to have this strict build lol
And judging by the more stricting path I assume there is no class change cause then what’s the different with regular we have now?
So instead of having to deal with class changes, now you change build thus simplify the process of shifting into new meta
The conclusion is the game promote meta playing instead of freedom in building classes or try to breaking meta in a healthy way by creating more competitive build variation

Yeah, like the guy above said, this probably to cater the dumbs who are too lazy to read and explore the vast world of build variation so everything made simple.
In addition instead making more possible build variation works by making more synergies between classes they chose to kill it and make it more more limited.
Now this game comes down to having no different at all with generic mmo that have “evolving” class of sort cause the path is already set.
Its such an unforturnate that it goes from the great yet crazy “build as you like”, the age of people posting their build in tosbase.com, argue which build best for players play style and situation to now its tone down into this limited amount of variation.
it was crazy indeed because in actuality the effort required to truly made its possible with circle system (that break free from rank limiter) to make every possible build synergize-able and works is indeed nowhere cheap as its require intense developing test and monitoring. but look, now the game go simpler with yet they still manage to slip overbuffed or poor neglected class, or maybe it is just an intended cycle that krtos player love so much there? idk. maybe its getting complex in gearing with more wearable like earring, belts and whats next? idk.
The reason most likely none other than the players themself who just craving numbers, crave for more damage, like how people here keep crying over crown lv 20 and how players have blind faith over krtos players and their metas, the most efficient build, while neglecting those, who i believe majority was here to pick their favorite class and start build it with all the other classes possible.
To make it worse imc spoonfeed us “content” which was just none other than boost to damage via new gears and boost to mobs stats instead of providing us more options to enjoy the freedom of our own rebuild journey. Look at the result, they regret crown, they recently patch mobs hp and still rebalancing skills sfr so intense to this date, thats baloney, whats this game state? close beta?
Again, i hate it when people use reasoning “to protect the clueless newcomers/returners from making mistakes”. mmo may be a game but you also still need your brain to get in-game knowledge. Like complaining about templar peltasta do less damage is like complaining full support healer damage sucks in any mmo. sorry to say, thats such dumb reason to become a base of why this new system have to exist.
i rather have this dumb lazy players who cant even read and understand such skills organization, class role, etc etc to play something else with less brain needed. too bad though, those dumb maybe rich and into gambling gacha, and thats what interest company like imc.
in short, lets invite those dumbo rich by making the game simpler, easier and more rewarding, and ofc more gambling.
I think they realized this after the making of TOS mobile. Seems that all this weird stuff from ktos came from that conclusion.

Despite the joke, they made diablo immortal for mobile but they still make diablo 4 for pc to be better than immortal and it’s predecessor.
For Tos its vice versa.
They make mobile because they finally realize it’s bigger cash cow so they focus on it to make it better even than the PC so the PC version now look way worse and traipse in its development.

Tbh key factor effect that affect gameplay that locked in gear is sucks
Like there’s so many classes that felt like it’s sucks without it’s vv
