well, they still have over 300 levels of content / classes to get through, if max level 600 and rank 10 classes is still the plan, it would mean that theres been 6 ranks (7 if you count the basic ones) in less than 300 levels, so that would mean, that there would be roughly 100 levels between ranks from level 300-600, i think spreading them out more evenly from rank 5 or 6 isnt such a bad idea

before this change there was someone who was rank 7 and class level 15 by level 277 i think, so if they stick with a rank every 50ish levels, then rank 10 would be around level 430, +50 to max out rank 10, so 480, thats still 120 levels without any class progression.
On the other hand it leaves room for any additional ranks if they ever want to go rank 11+

My point is, id prefer if the last rank max out around max level, 580-600

Why people don’t drop that rank 10~11 thing? D;

We only have 7 ranks for now, and they said they’ll probably keep it to 8, with the rest being a lot of hidden classes

"Q) Up to which rank would we be able to play in the Open Beta?

A) Our original plan was to open up to Rank 10~11, but we are thinking about changing that. We are thinking about hiding 20 classes so there is a chance that the last rank could be 8, but it’s not confirmed yet"

emphasis on the question how many classes will we be able to play in the “beta” says nothing about release or them getting rid of the original 10 rank plan.

No archer hidden class? :"

anyone else geting the dungeon crashes back after last update? client error

made first run no crash, but now on second one crashed at first mob and at last boss, just like last time i had to reinstall and use the other translation.

“Hiding 20 classes”

" Last rank could be 8 "

Every text and phrase, not involving the one who said it, is open to interpretation, but it’s pretty clear that they’re not planning anything after rank 8 (add “for now” here, if it makes you feel better)

We have 3/20 hidden classes and 7/8 of the ranks, so it’d take 1~2 years just to fill up those numbers

it may have been my friend list making me to crash, hopes that it, just made another run without crashes after deleting a bunch of people

8 of those classes will be lauched as rank 8, and they’re more likely to be the ones nearly completed

Plus you get 8 rank 6 circle 3 spell kits, and 8 rank 7 circle 2 spells

And considering 3 weeks ~ 1 month space between every new class you’ll get more than a year just for the hidden classes missing

Plus for rank 8 you’ll need a higher level cap and a lot of maps/enemies, so it’s pretty much more than a year, but probably won’t be more than two, so i think my guess of “between 1 and 2 years” a.k.a. 1~2, is pretty accurate

Something random but I’ll post it here anyway.

I keep seeing people talking in the thread about which classes are good at grinding and which aren’t etc etc etc…

Does it really matter though in the long run? I mean… let’s say we’ve had the game for 6 months. Will it be super important that it took someone 2-4 months to hit cap instead of 4-6 months? Either way at that 6 month mark both players will have been at cap and sitting there in end-game content, including PvP and World Bosses etc. I mean sure, there are definitely advantages to hitting cap sooner (currency reasons, experiencing the end-game sooner and for longer, securing drops early etc) but over time both players will be experiencing the same content daily.

I don’t mind so far that my chosen paths will likely be terrible at grinding. Eventually I will hit cap and I will have made a long but rewarding journey. Others who have taken slower approaches will also probably have some pretty solid builds for PvP or WB hunting or whatever other end-game content they come up with (fully expecting to see a “tower” like most Korean games with floors of challenging bosses).

I say this because I lurk the thread hoping to catch the updates as they’re made to my path, as well as for Mimic because pretty sure it’ll be in my tree, but I keep seeing people second-guessing their builds because it won’t be effective at grinding. Yeah the game is pretty much a giant grind, but, that’s not where it ends. So don’t be discouraged! xD There will surely be a role that you’ll be able to fill much better than a character who can grind effectively. Whether this is melting a boss, supporting a party for crazy challenging dungeons, or even PvP, you’ll probably be better equipped to handle it than someone who picked a path that is good for clearing trash mobs quickly.

Cheers ^-^b

I dunno about the others.
But, it is very important me to rush my level and reach Templar as soon as possible.
That way, I can quickly provide the guild features for my guild members (more guild slot, companion, private guild hall, guild garden for private PvP training and guild events, etc).

But of course, I’ve prepared my build carefully so I won’t regret it in the future. And I’m very aware that we can’t be the best at “everything” in this game. There will be sacrifices. That’s what most people forgot.

I am pretty sure hiding in this context just means ‘not releasing’, not ‘hidden classes’. Same with the rank 8 comment, which was only meant to indicate what rank they would release up to in open beta (since that is what the question was).

The game files have the experience tables up to rank 10, though even if they didn’t it wouldn’t really make sense to have a big gap between Lv 277 - Lv 500 where you aren’t ranking up anymore.

Yes that is a big difference.

Time is a huge deal, for someone to have to waste X more months to reach a level at which they can do the same things as other classes.

That means:

  1. X more months of being able to farm higher level things ahead of schedule, maximizing on the value of the items as well.

  2. X more months of being able to go into guild wars at a higher level, which in open PvP can be a huge deal, especially with the change of not being able to put down a guild tower for 24 hours after having it destroyed.

  3. X more months to start up another character allowing you to both farm more dungeons, get more items from having dungeon runs on multiple characters, and talt to level a guild faster, meaning you can do more things with your tower, and get more levels/taming/farming going on.

Ofcourse, I’m not really worried about the above since I feel like so long as a build is somewhat OK, the time difference to reach the higher level gameplay currently doesn’t have such a large gap.
