[kTest[Ktos]] Class rework thread

All it does is a slight flat increase per point spent.

I’m not sure if anything changed during renewal, but classic RO used a combination of hard caps on stats with the geometric progression in their efficiency and a steep increase in cost. Which worked far better for build variety than IMC’s current efforts could hope to be.

From the initial announcement I have expected STR and INT to become %-based modifiers, but i guess it takes longer for IMC to learn their flat lesson.

Looking at the new weapon attack values, I doubt another %-modifier would do the game any good, and increase the power creep again that the game just (more or less) successfully diverted from by combining flat numbers(stats) with multipliers(skills).
It seems that now most Classes won’t have an easy time to deal as much damage as before unless they got lots of support Classes to boost their overall damage (God, ClericC1>PriestC3>Chaplain>BokorC3 became viable overnight xD).

The only thing they did resolve is the power creep of r8 skills damage, which was brought 2/3 by IMC’s own poor judgement and 1/3 by the cricumstances, when designing r8 content. The long-standing problem of the ratio between atk derived from STR/INT (that have lost their investment bonuses), and the one derived from the now hugely upscaled weapons, has hardly improved at all.

Currently, 블랑노름 is testing attack speed cap on ktest.
She has managed to reach 5-6 attacks per second on good ping on QS3 Archer3 on running shot + kneeling shot with chrono quicken support. Quicken level 10, archer dex build with around 180 dex.

This is 5-6 arrows per second without any additional line equipment, and without additional line buffs.

any idea if DEX/aspd is affecting Bwa Kayiman damage interval?

8 lv10 ella is
+496 Critical Attack
+104 Block Penetration
+104 Evasion

if i invest 300point in STR
300Str =
+750 ATK
+390 Accuracy

8lv10 glassmole is
+1350 patk for less than 6 second, hmm… i think i understand why

Actually it is the V3 ,the 2º is the freezing sphere .
Besides it will do 829% ,look very strong.

It highly depends on your base P ATK and class, since it considers the weapon damage. I’d still prefer Glass Moles for classes with long cooldowns such as SR and others.

For example, Full STR +15 Regard Horn Crossbow Stage 10:
+750 ATK + 4308-4790 -> 5058-5540

And 8 Glass Mole 10* (+80%):
9104-9972 P ATK for ~6 seconds.

It gives 4046-4432 extra P ATK on main weapon and subweapon.

Now scale this with 734% from Concentrated Fire * 17 hits. (Regard Horn Crossbow and Aspana both have the same base attack values.)

On the other hand Ellaganos gives flat DEX that won’t scale with anything else.

dex boosting attacking speed is something I probably won’t like, reminds me of Blade and Soul because players with just slightly higher ping will find it hard to match the dps of lower ping players.

nobody tried to +15 their practo weapon in ktest and ktest always have the best RNG compared to other server, even for refining weapon. Beside, aushrine+meltis get nerfed so glassmole effect cant be as long as before right?

Yes. And it was never meant to be used that way IMO. But now that you have Alchemist Potions (and Varnalesa), NPC Potions and Keistas Recovery potions you can actually keep a good uptime on them.

But for classes like SR with high cooldowns Glass Mole is quite helpful (works for a good part of the duration of Retreat Shot or other skills). These classes uses Glass Mole + High Dmg/Cooldown skills and then wait using filler skills, by the time the skills are available again the potions cooldowns are also free, the benefit of the huge P ATK boost is greater than what DEX gives in these cases, especially in PvP depending on your playstyle.

It could be for other classes (low cooldown) where the advantages of Dex shines more (and it’s a reality). Even though on some classes, or at least SR, I’d always recommend Glass Mole over Ellaganos.

Any ideas about the CON and SPR values for the other base Classes (Cleric/Archer/Swordsman)? The initial post only features the values for Wizard :frowning:

And what substats scale with leveling now? Is e.g. Evasion still scaling by 1 point per level?

Can anyone confirm that blessing only applies to the first dmg value of an auto attack now?

Notice How the Second and third line aren’t increasing with blessing.

Since is a boss to 5 players kill together, for okay for me.

She’s probably using shitty gear,no attributes and the boss is resistant to Zaibas on top of it.

The buff on Bless is to justify the nerf on all multi hits across the board.

@myself Yes, right now glassmole is still very strong, especially for burst classes with high CD. Krivis melstis will double mole duration now. About glass mole in the future… hmm, maybe in a later patch you will discover it. Though the current patch has gutted 0 cd skills so dex is :disappointed_relieved:
