KS has to stop!

Quest kills are all last hit based. Items/silver are damage based

Its an mmo not solo game.the monsters are for all not only you.you can party up.

Griefing can only be properly countered with bans. Without GM intervention other people will just be encouraged to do it. The way @noks functions might be great for close range characters but does nothing for non-target casts and ranged characters can tag anything close to you. An aggro-based system has it’s own flaws too, especially with this games AI.

Exactly- it’s an MMO, so cooperation among players is vital for a healthy community. That involves showing common courtesy when someone is already killing something, and not taking it from them for yourself. Playing like everything belongs to you (regardless of whatever anyone else is doing with it), is more suited to a single-player game.

You shouldn’t have to join a party every time you want to get something done, as it’s not necessary, and some people prefer to play solo most of the time. Besides, you can still KS other parties, so being in one does not prevent you from being KS’d, it just gives you a better chance of killing things quicker, and covering more area.

Party up. Mist of the crying kids never party up.

just set a rule against kill stealing that kill stealing can be reported like in many other korean games or like in Ragnarok, then press the video record button and gg, another botlike player less.

Archers and Barbarians give me the most problems. I’d say 8/10 I run into end up using some AoE attack to finish off the group of mobs I’m working on. Taunting and building up a pile of mobs to stab to death ends in someone else doing it for me too often, even when it seems no one else is around. It’s fine if they want to kill something I taunted if it’s a crowded map, and I haven’t hit it yet, but if I’m already smacking something, they’ve got no business using their superior AoE capabilities to snatch up a few extra kills.

Hopefully IMC will take notice of this and implement something to counter that within the next few maintenances.

This is how it should work in my opinion:

  • Every time someone attack an enemy first that enemy get flagged

  • A flagged enemy lose the flag if it’s not attacked for more then 3 seconds thus preventing people to exploit the system by hitting every enemy once and the leaving… combat in the game is kind of fast paced anyway so 3 secons without a hit i think it’s quite a lot.

  • If another player attack flagged enemies more then 5 times (could happen by mistake to attack one) such player get a red name, all his stats are reduced by 90%, weapon get broken, and he becomes eligible for open world PvP for 1 hour of game time

Do this and players themselves will be able to succesfully fight both Kill Stealers AND Bots in an extremely satisfying way xD

Liked it then I thought of things like flame ground and fireball. Great way to grief someone.

Nine times out of ten, my kill stealing is purely accidental. I play a Peltasta, and I have several points in Swashbuckling, so when I use it, creeps will sometimes flock to me from someone else. I don’t realize they’re there until they come chasing.

On the other hand, if I see someone with a name that looks like s5hsabnm Hwoci, and they appear to be moving around like this–

–I’ll probably make my kill-stealing intentional.

another easy solution would be first hit > mine, much easier to handle.

But then everyone will be running around to get the first hit on every mob instead of the last hit.

i can agree no ks after first hit but i will never agree no ks after taunt. taunt aoe are too big and agro too many mobs
btw need a rule that ks are permit for silver/gold/blue mob

NO FOR GODS SAKE! Blade and SOul do it like this and that game is a Kill Steal PARADISE!

If you play that game you’ll know that people actually go into an area and rush one hitting every mob then just run aroubnd… if anyone else go into that area and kill those mobs all the kills go to the first one.

This mechanic is HIGLY exploitable and ruins a game BAD

It’s not, the mechanic wouldn’t be the problem, the scum who plays this game would.

You do realise that this mechanic has already been used in other games and that it miserably failed yes?

No, because it didn’t.

Alright, the thousands of people complaining about this in Blade and Soul are absolutly wrong, you’re the right one… god i love people like you… youd be able to say that seawater is sweet… and even if eeryone else will say it’s not it’ll still be sweet and it’s everyone else that understand nothing.

Man you’ve got issues ^^

People like me, I see, you don’t want to help the game it’s a personal war against me, enjoy yourself.

Don’t blame the KSer. blame the lack of mobs for a lot of quests. You’re not the only one trying to complete stuff. I mean you really don’t own the map either. I would publicly ask for a party up. I’ve had really good experience genuinely asking people this way that we end up partying up for quests on several connected maps.
