Itās a popular Korean opinion, I can verify that as I still play kCBT. It was actually very surprising to me coming to icbt2 and seeing so many barbs. The majority there is pyro + hoplite/cata, and more recently druids.
Yeah I can kinda see that . This was more to show that there is a clear narrative, but I guess ppl will miss the point.
I can imagine Koreans having this kind of mentality. Pyro is nice , Iāve a hoplite and it surprised me as well that it keeps up with barb even early on. Hoplite has however harder time soloing for the most part.
Still the fact remains that other classes are fairly weak in comparison.
All this is proving that Barb isnāt OP in retrospect to less known Hoplite.
Dragoon class will eventually have people bandwagoning for hoplite class in their build due to its fancy Cape. but not until they realized end game PvE content or PvP issues with thier melee glass cannon builds they have now.
Itās true that in the early game, nearly every class is weaker in comparison in terms of killing trash monsters and leveling. In fact I believe so many of the classes need fixes/tweaks in comparison.
But barb, in the overall game, assuming people play to reach high levels, is not OP.
LINKER in my opinion is OPā¦i tell it now many in the future will demand a nerf on that class!

Paladin is listed as a defensive class, while barbarian is listed as an offensive class. There canāt really be a comparison made here in terms of DPS, and paladin most definitely has the higher survivability.
As for Pyro VS Barbarian. Pyro as a r2 class is in fact weaker than barbarian as an r3 class in terms of leveling.
However, pyro does much more damage to the mid game bosses that everyone farms, and has many more effective routes they can go with instead of just pyro c3 as opposed to barbarian, which doesnāt have very many options if a player wishes to be relevant in terms of keeping a high leveling speed. And even then their bossing/mid-game viability is very low in comparison to a c3 pyro let alone a pyro that picks up other classes such as linker or elementalist.
and LINKER my god linkerā¦non have see the sheer force the class can conjure. imagine those with warlock and feather foot skills! or even r8+ wiz classes!
Iām not seeing that damage on mid game bosses, Iām still doing more with Barb, having good eq on both,

By mid game I mean 175+ because that is the mid-game in the overall game levels (350 level OBT and 500 eventual levels).
They can not even compare in the 175 Dgn/190 Dgn/200 dgn.
They get massively out damaged at Dullahan, and only somewhat barely okay at Marionette.
These are the current mid game dungeons and bosses people farm for gear.
Welp if youāre talking about 350 levels then thatās a bit irrelevant to what we have at hand.
But itās not because OBT is 350 levels, and the fact is Korean OBT is next, international will follow suit.
Thereās no point changing the game with 200 levels in mind?
I beg to differ the point of lvl limited beta is to change the game from 0-200 , if there is no point in changing the game, what is the point of having a beta in the first place?
This game is not nearly close to openbeta, itās in Alpha ,at least in itās current state, I disbelieve that Korean version is updated much Other than itās content is extended and minor bugs fixed.
I canāt even begin imagining an Open beta while this game is so broken. Class skills and attributes arenāt even working as intended. Which is a fundamental flaw.

It seems like so far IMC is taking very few suggestions, but for the most part this beta seems to be to test the servers with a larger audience and solve all these new issues. As far as class balancing/etc seems to go, their pushing forwards with the KR OBT, so more than likely theyāre not even looking too much into what weāve posted. Theyāve done their testing/balancing with the KR extended test server.
On that subject, although I donāt agree with it, the balancing thatās happening seems to be on a late game level.
As far as OBT being a year or two ahead of us, more than likely itāll be early of next year since KR OBT is in December.

Very few suggestions accepted , not banning hackers, asking about emojis than serious stuff. Imo thatās 99% of why Iām unhappy with the game. Our beta looks like just a marketing campaign , that they donāt really care. To me it looks like trolling.

Well I donāt agree that itās a marketing campaign, or they would have reached out to media, and wouldnāt have been so surprised with the amount of players that registered.
That being said, this test phase seems to be to figure out all the issues that our server specifically has. Balancing/etc all that is done on the KR extended server where players had a much longer time to see how things worked. After the first week of iCBT2, we have not received any of the new KR patches, further pointing out that balancing/etc was not the point of this beta. The point of both tests seem to be very different. Hopefully @STAFF_J @STAFF_John @STAFF_Shawn @STAFF_Marikim can make a post as to what the point of this test was as compared to KCBT 3 extended.
This is what i believe the situation to be as well, if they wanted us to test balance they would have been keeping us up to date with the KR server. Whats the point in balance information from a server thats not running the latest patch?
With that said this forum has descended into madness, last night there was 30 posts this morning 100 most of which were made by 4 people lol.
I donāt think it is possible to make any sort of accurate predictions about which class will be good at bosses since every boss i farmed almost everyone knew a way to bug them, making bosses really easy especially for classes that can drop high cooldown area skills. For example dulla has skills which make him move a lot making any skill that you drop on area almost useless.
Thatās assuming that on the games release you expect every boss to be able to be bugged.Optimally, this would and should not be the case, and bug abusing like this should be reported so it can get fixed.
