Kneeling Shot Ergonomics

I find that when using kneeling shot, it is at times difficult to deactivate and move around. Especially if there are frame rate or latency issues. Unlike normal sitting, this skill is most commonly used during combat. That means I have to be very reactive in order to survive. On occasion I will press the appropriate key to deactivate the skill, and it won’t respond, forcing me to press the key again until my archer stands up. The result is that I sometimes don’t get up in time and take damage, or I get up and because I hit the key again, immediately go back into kneeling shot, wasting time and mana.

In a latency free high frame rate environment this does not seem to be a big problem, but the second I drop to ~30-40fps or have a bit of lag, it happens often enough to be disruptive.

make sure you’re not attacking or doing any animations when you attempt to stand up / cancel kneeling shot. if you’re doing an auto attack and press kneeling shot, it doesn’t seem to “queue” the kneeling shot cancel.

i’ve had issues w/ lag but not fps. it is what it is, i usually try to stand up and cancel kneeling shot early. Or my evasion is typically pretty good so even if it lags a sec I dodge a lot of stuff.

Just jump to exit the stance. It will cancel Kneeling Shot.
