Kill Stealing - DEAL WITH IT

See? you are one of that person. Enjoy your little world of grinding on solitude. Sure that you only play dps builds.

Let’s change it with: “THIS game is built in such a way to be a competitive games with unfair rules giving some classes advantages over others”

There, fixed it for you.

There are a lot of games that actually encourages co-op over competition and there are a lot of games that give people the competition feeling in a good and healty way with well designed pvp BUT encourage co-op in the PvE aspect.

Well… luck wants that a lot of games don’t see it the same way as you do… lucky for a lot of people actually that can just change game and find something better leaving you, and all people like you, “making out” with each other in a KS fashion ^^

Bad for IMC tho that will be losing a lot of players but ehy… as lot of people like to say: “ToS is not a Casual game, it’s an hardcore game for hardcore fans”… so i gladly leave it to the hardcore fans and hope for IMC that the hardcore fans will give them enough founds to keep having salary ^^

Better than be parasited, if can handle a group with 10 mobs and kill it with 2 skills/magic, why should i join in a grind party with tanker/healers ? chat talk? no problem if its a full ranged dps party.

O man… i can’t wait for you to reach over lvl 200 and start whining on the forum because without a proper grinding party setup you can’t kill s*** without getting rap** :stuck_out_tongue:

150 right now… and i make grind parties change channel because of me :stuck_out_tongue: cant wait to 200 too

Well you’ll be up for a bad surprise ^^

As far as i know full grinding parties have trouble grinding without a good healer and a good setup because the enemies gets kind of… overpowered at higher lvls.

There were one post from a high lvl player some time ago saying: “try to make friends on your way to 200 because without friends you’ll be screwed when you get to high lvls”

Since you said you like to KS well… i wish for you to find a lot of people you did KS from during your “rise” to lvl 200… that remember your name and refuse to have you in party with them :stuck_out_tongue:

We can only agree that we desagree

you are a funny being.
just yesterday some guy found himself in a zone 100 lvls above himself and completely stuck… the ■■■■■■■ inadvertent kser that i am offered him assistance when he was world shouting for help. he told me he had world shouted 5x over the course of 15 minutes… no one offered help… but when i noticed his ws i did.

this world is full of give and take… some things you see as egregious and that same person might without bashing an eye do something nice. receive a like and move on… you really cant encompass someone based on how the kill system works here.

this game is going to have a lot of different players and playstyles in it for a long time to come. stick to your circle if you want to feel safe.

Honestly, just make it so when a mob dies in a player’s range it drops loot for that player alone. Follow PSO2’s system where each individual player as long as they’re in range gets their own loot. KS problem is completely solved.

If a player lands a hit on the mob and they’re example… questing it, it counts for their quest as long as they hit it.

“WUT ABOUT TEH RARE MATERIAL”
Get over it, if it isn’t so rare anymore cry me a river.

KSing is far more important to deal with then some elitist people controlling the market, sorry.

Oh… finally someone that says a good and intelligent thing.

There are games working like this and the community in those games are wel… way better at social interaction than the one we’re in on this forum and in this game.

The thing is… ToS to me, seems to be designed in such a way as to encourage competition over EVERYTHING… so it’s only normal that it’ll attract competitive idio… ehm, players ^^

This means that if you suggest something like this… that is already proved to work great in other games… you’ll most likly be yelled at by the competitive idio…ehm, players… that are in this game ^^

Tons of games have anti-ks system…

And it is as easy as giving credit to who threw the first hit

Just want to add something ti this statement… many games implemented anti KS mechanics in order to please the great majority of the player audience that couldn’t take it anymore.

The best games i can think of with excellent anti KS mechanics are GW2 and ESO… and damn the playerbase in those game was nice… well as far as ESO goes it still is the best community i’ve ever seen in an mmo

EDIT: Btw… believe it or not i just realised this… i said GW2 and ESO… so 2 of the “better mmos on the market” of the last years

I’m an end-game player in PSO2, I have most my classes at 75 and the worst that happens as far as loot goes is when someone broadcasts (OR PARTY TELLS THEM) WHOA YOU GOT THAT 13* I WANT! Sometimes profanity ensues or congratulations.

If they could tweak the system to only show loot for the player playing similar to how PSO2 does it that’d be great, however this unfortunately probably means the channels would need to have a player limit placed on them and more channels for each area in the game.

However… like you said, the development of this game caters toward competition. It strongly discourages working together even as far as field bosses go cause if you get a party of the strongest people then you can claim all the loot yourself and literally screw everyone else who fought that boss out of loot… which is prettty stupid. (God just imagine the rage on PSO2 if when you fought a Emergency Code boss and only the top 4 DPS got loot. You’d never see anyone taking the support roles.)

This concept much like PSO2’s genius freemium method (NOT SEA, GOD FORBID NOT SEA!) is proven to work and be very successful.

Right now i’m imagining a dragon fight on GW2… i remember fights having even a hundred players fighting the dragon… at times NOONE was in a party… dragon was up, people yelled for it in chat… players from all over the world would just rush there and sturt fighting each one on its own… everyone would get loot at the end.

Damn i’m tryint to imagine what would have happened in that situation if the dragon dropped loot only to the 6 “highest dps” i the fight…

i really think this is what would happend to the devs:

SEGA of Japan would definitely be seeing a similar fate if that were the case for PSO2, it’s bad enough 13*s have an abysmal drop rate.

Yeah the world boss loot system is pretty bad.

That’s the fundamental difference in core mechanics between two games. PSO2 doesn’t enforce pre co-ordination or teamwork for world bosses, nor does it force competition for loot.
Also, I’m pretty sure it’s top 6 parties. It’s not hard for you to die, or get low if you don’t have a healer in your party and ultimately lose out on dps. The only change that they should make is for healers to have an option to make heals for party only to enforce their place in parties for world bosses.

Not really… it’s the top 6 DPS AND their parties.

So basically… if those 6 DPS make a party on their own then they’ll be the only ones to get the loot.

At least this is what comes up by researching the issue on the forum

Still, the rest of my post applies, any dps character will lose out on dps without a healer/support to back them up. If anything, that ENFORCES support characters to buff the main dps of the team’s damage and keep them healthy. Like I said, Tree of savior enforces pre-fight co-ordination and team work. If there are 6 parties of premade that have a proper team build, they will almost always top the dps of 6 random parties with 6 random dps.

EDIT: This is even more so if they give healers the option to make their heals party only.
