Kill Stealing - DEAL WITH IT

The game has no formal tag system. This is how it is. You can and will be KS at least a few times, either un-intentionally or intentionally.

I have a wizard and an archer and a cleric, all in the 100+ lvls. As a pyro i have to go out of my way to KS so its a little harder to do intentionally.

My cleric… sad sad days for him i kill 1-2 mobs at a time and he gets KS all the time and cannot ever do the ks’ing.

My archer, oh boy. I unintentionally KS a lot, whenever i goto new area and see a load of mobs i just spam 3 or 4 of my aoe skills and clear the screen rip anyone killing a mob but thats how it is.

You cannot take action for kill stealing when the game itself has no rules on it. Games are a competition, we are here to compete and XP and rare mobs are a resource to be contested.

If you want to play like a scumbag, then you should expect to be treated like a scumbag, it’s that simple.

Exactly, im not advocating doing it, all im saying is it is upto you to take note of that person and change your behaviour towards them in the future, refuse to trade , group, converse with them in the future.

It is not a reportable offence as the game has no rules on KS’ing and by design encourages people to be competitive over rare mobs and XP.

you know if they do not do anything about it sooner or later, me and my group are planning to make archers with the name “IMCFIXKSPLS” and ks everyone until it becomes a big issue.

KS by definition is not fun, contesting rare mobs i understand, but even in maps like tenet chapel people ks.

Unfortunately the system in place on how monsters tag, reward and spawn almost encourage ks’ing. I don’t support or condone it but unless some changes are made on IMC end on how the system tags, rewards, and/or spawn rates change - I don’t see ks’ing going away anytime soon.

Kill Steal is a common problem at mmorpgs. I’m completly sure that ToS will have some normative about it, it may not come from devs but from users, what is not unusual.

I try to respect mob aggred by other players (even playing with Zaibas, that is one of the common KS skills).

I don’t respect Kill Stealers. I will try to talk with them everytime, even when sometimes they are stupid and I just have to deal with it.

So, I completly disagree with you.

You are defending that “Like there is no rules” about KS you can just sh1t on people.

I don’t need a rule to make my behaviour honourable and to know how to enjoy a game with a community.

Current generation gamers seem to have lost sight of this.

You can disagree all you want but that doesnt change anything. People either will or will not KS and there is nothing you can do about it other then change your own behaviour towards the KS player.

Game has no formal tag system and encourages mob competition.

Not defending anything just stating facts.

Hey, I don’t like people robbing or killing others, so I’m gonna go rob and kill and graffiti the words “POLICEFIXTHISPLS” on the walls with the blood of the innocent untill the police do something about it.

I know, very extreme, but this is how I see that logic. You can’t solve something by making it worse.

I’m against KS aswell, but since this game doesn’t have a system to prevent it atm there’s not much that can be done besides common courtesy. And let’s face it, on the internet people can be d***s without consequences.

Yes it changes. I can talk with them like I said. In my country we use to say that “People understands each other by talking”.

Edit: Plus inviting them to a Party.

There has been always stupid persons that only want to abuse and didin’t care about anyone. If I found 1 of them I will just change channel and forget about them. Ofc I don’t want to screw my experience because of an unexpected retarded player.

To some degree I like #2 because PSO2 and GW2 used this system of “everyone around receives their own individual drops.”

I’m not a big fan of #1, because I can just mob tag if I’m an AoE class.

You can get /their/ attention by making it worse, apparently.

I do not want to do this either, but now that i’m on 18X maps the ks is just getting worse.

Solution 1 doesnt work as people could just 1 hit tag entire screens of mobs at a time.

Solution 2 doesnt work as all of a sudden you DECREASE the rarity of rare materials by many multiples.

EG: Harugals in demon prison 2, usually 10+ people camping them. If all 10 are getting harugal loot all of a sudden that harugal leather becomes worthless pretty quickly.

Current system is damage done by percentage is awarded loot and all other players are awarded XP.

I’m surprised there wasn’t a system like point 1 or 2 in the game already. Alot of MMOs have it recently.

And yes, I didn’t play untill early access.

I like the people that come into a spot that you’ve been farming in for 30min and taunt everything around you then complain that you’re killing THEIR mobs.

Broom trap is love.

Perhaps they are also victims of multiple KS’s and think like you do now. Everyone get’s frustrated and want to move forward and it turns into a dog eat dog world.

Solution 1 would work just fine if it expires fairly quickly, like within 3 seconds or so.

it could always kind of split the xp party style for each person that hit it then give the loot to the highest damage or first hit.

I kinda like the systems that are first come first serve so KS is just entirely non existent but in this game sadly not so easy to use.
