Keyboard Numpad controls

I am playing as hoplite and I use the keyboard to control my character; I did try the mouse just out of curiosity but the gameplay seems to be tailored around gamepad or KB.
My main issue is facing my character diagonally to use skills like pierce, using the 4 arrow keys works but too often I mess up by not pressing two directions at the same time.
So I decided to check the controls and it turns out that under combat, there are entries for “Move Up” “move Down” etc. After the normal 4 directions there are 8 more directions (up, down, right, left and up-right, up-left, down-right, down-left), these other directions are bound to the numpad by default, so it seems that the game is already trying to help me but I can’t find a way to make those keys work.

Enabling/disabling NumLock does nothing, same as pressing the numpad keys assigned to movement.

Is anyone playing using the numpad and can help me making it work?

I have the same issue!
Have you found your solution yet? I googled but could not find out why the NUMPAD is not working. For normal typing, they works.

one year and this issue still here…
just like the companion bugs…

i have this issue to, i tried to use numpad controlls but they dont work at all
at the key settings (when changing the correspondent key) it reads all 8 keys but when i press them when playing they do nothing…

i also tried the gameplay with a mouse, which was nice until i noticed that some quest items on the ground cant be clicked (which made me unable to finish quest objectives) so i had to switch back to keyboard gameplay…
