RWC has been cancelled since 2014 so if TOS ever does have something like it, don’t count on it being around forever.
uh ya great - still it lasted for 10 years thats more than most of the poeple who gonna play ToS ever played a game at all - show me 10 MMORPG who are offering such huge tournaments for more than 10 years - thats pretty amazing and it worked well - of course they are focusing on their newer games now and ragnarok got old - in 10 years ToS will be outdated as well but who gonna play it for 10 years anyways? very few people
You’re confusing ToS with RO you should remember this is a completely different game with different goals in the end. I’d point out that it was a completely different company who design both games direction and such but still.
-at least PvP in ToS has made people add more con in their builds, overall PvP is a good thing in this game as it adds more diversity, such as PvP builds instead of all focus on PvE-
but I honestly and personally don’t think MMO’s ever have a good PvP atmosphere even when the PvP is decent.
Also I’m surprised RWC even went on past renewal, the tournaments got so tiny that they couldn’t even afford to get all the teams in for 2013 because the game just wasn’t popular enough to earn them enough money to do that any more.
Remember though even in something like LoL the majority don’t even touch ranked and there is plenty of people play only against bots. This game is going to require content to appease all types of players thus why there should be a decent challenge and hard side-quests and hidden bosses, but not too tough for the mandatory quests.
RO’s RWC didn’t even last 10 years, 8 years at most if you don’t count the time they didn’t allow non-Asian servers to participate.
You seriously believe IMC Games has the funds to fly several teams of players to a location to hold these tournaments every year? I’m surprised Gravity was still able to do so during a time when their money was being laundered by a previous CEO.
