First off let me start off by saying I’m not an expert on ToS or anything. Also I know there’s probably a ton of Tip threads but while I was leveling up a new char today I saw a few people who were somewhat lost. Some of them didn’t really know what to do or where to go after a certain point. So I figured it might be a good idea to have, small tips. I wouldn’t consider this a guide because again I’m no expert, so maybe a few higher leveled people who have played longer can add to this thread also.
Exploration is important!
First things first, ToS is the first MMO I’ve ever played where you get a quest from doing the most random things ever.
As in you can get a quest from touching something. No NPC will tell you to go this particular area where this "something’ is.
I feel like it’s extremely important for you to explore the entire map. If you see something shiny, touch it.
If you walk pass a certain area and your character says, for example; “Wow that looks weird” or “Something smells funny” Most likely, player, they’re throwing you a hint.
-Character gets distracted by shiny thing, “Hey somethings in this bush let’s touch it!”
-BOOM Boss pops out.
-BOOM dead…or not.
WTF IS THE BLUEISH GREENISH CROSSY THING?!?!
Yeah its a quest item that you can use forevers and evers and evers and don’t try to throw it out
*Seal of Space * Helps you get into hidden places, use it on pillars with the same symbol on it.
-Talk to every NPC, Or anything object that loves your spacebar.
-You must be level 45 for that quest Septyni Glen, that you see everyone completing, and for some reason you can’t.
-Message boards, read them trust me read them…
-65+ and don’t know where to go? You should try all the portals that lead out of Klaipeda, you might be surprised.
-Really explore Crystal Mines if you’re level 100+ really really explore it. ( I found this out the hard way…)
-Pressing “N” on your keyboard is your best friend.
-The people who are running http://tosdatabase.net/ are sent from Lamia Use it! It’s how I know if I’ve skipped a side quest.
-Lastly majority of the time, you are totally not out of quest especially if you’re under level 100. You probably just don’t know where to go. That’s why sites like http://tosdatabase.net/ and http://www.tosbase.com/ are important. Use them to keep track of what you’ve done or haven’t.
I leveled My Paladin all the way to 120 when I noticed I’d skipped an entire map.
That’s all I really have maybe some pros can help out with some more tips.
I just felt kinda bad that a lot of people were lost and didn’t know where to go or what to do.
